President Donald Trump
I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?
So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at
It should come as a surprise to no one that this video is a very disingenuous interpretation of Trump's walk on the roof of the White House.
He wasn't "wandering" on the roof, dum-dum!
Trump was inspecting some of the many improvements being made to the White House that he has authorized as is (allegedly) paying for out of his own pocket.
I would like encourage you to quote sources that aren't ridiculous.
I agree to both sides with the caveat that outrage politics is more of a right thing
Speaking to emotion in politicisation is not necessarily a bad thing. The issues with which we politicise and the emotions that are evoked alongside are where I’d step away from both sidesing
I think there is plenty of outrage politics on both sides. However, the left is generally bad at outrage politics; even when they occasionally score a rare victory in public opinion, they'll just be even more outraged because the victory is not enough. Eventually they go so far as to alienate most people, at which point they'll be confident in their personal moral victory. Then they'll angrily post about how their vastly superior and popular politics is being held back by moderates and centrists.
However, in the context of American politics, the right-wing media ecosystem is very uniform and relies a lot on orthodoxy. Up until recently one could perhaps explain that simply by conservatism being enamored with authoritarianism. The ecosystem loved the (misguided) image of Trump as a strongman, so it went all-in on supporting him.
However, when we see this ecosystem in action in regards to the mounting Epstein scandals it is very clear that leading media and social media pundits are being actively told what to message to their followers. You see a lot of messaging that is near identical and with too little time in between to be explained away by mutual influence. It also seems unlikely to be a case of "people simply agreeing", because often this messaging is almost the polar opposite of what they were saying only a short while ago. It seems pretty clear that this system is being exploited both socially, but also technologically (gaming the algorithm).
the honest truth is that it hasn’t been effective to make them money and you are not willing to put money down that it will. so what are we doing here then?
Yeah because you should definitely buy stock based on what adverts cut through rather than the more mundane things like revenue growth, p/e ratio, debt, and so on.
So you’re saying that it adds nothing to your gotcha?
A necessary first step is for the parent to want to be a good parent.
After that, the second step is for the parent to be willing to seek and receive wise counsel from family members, friends and neighbors who are not bad parents. Good role models are almost invariably essential for success in any endeavor.
Neither the government nor society can't make someone want something. I was asking what either the government or other members of society can do.
Personally, I would be all for removal of the child followed by forced sterilization, but mine is not a popular view.
I'm sure people that wanted to help others being reassigned to an agency that wants to hurt others will go over well.
The email told FEMA employees that they would be reassigned to ICE “due to the mission requirements of the Department [of Homeland Security].” The DHS houses both ICE and FEMA.
even reuters and NBC are reporting the CEO has vast connections to companies in china that deal with the chinese militaries, it's incredible that he became intel CEO tbh, semiconductors are a national security sector (and that's a bipartisan consideration, democrats do agree with that and legislated about that with the CHIPs act) and no one with any tie with the chinese militaries (!!!!!) should have any position of power in the sector in the USA, are you guys going completly mad?
lol
lol wat?

BEIJING/SAN FRANCISCO, April 10 (Reuters) - Lip-Bu Tan, the man chosen to lead Intel, the U.S.'s largest chip maker, has invested in hundreds of Chinese tech firms, including at least eight with links to the People's Liberation Army, according to a Reuters review of Chinese and U.S. corporate filings.
The appointment last month of Tan, one of Silicon Valley's longest-running investors in Chinese tech, as CEO of a company that manufactures cutting-edge chips for the U.S. Department of Defense raised questions among some investors about the extent of his ongoing involvement with businesses in China.
Oh no he's invested in hundreds of Chinese companies. Quick, fire him!

have you considered the president should not demand people be fired over twitter? nah you haven’t because you’re dumb.
Here for the comedy.
Well, in this particular case the guy will land on his feet.
But your general idea that trump is good for laughs illustrates just what is wrong with trump supporters. He's a bully on a grand scale and most of what he does hurts people. A lot of people.
He kicks the most needy people of of medicaid - haha
Rounds up people on the street trying to work and throws them in a cage in the middle of florida - haha
The list goes on. And on. And on.
So, a good number of people that don't care about trump are like you. They are able to disconnect from the actual results of his decisions and the pain inflicted on people.
Then there's hardcore maga that actually loves that people that aren't them are hurt.
