President Donald Trump
I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?
So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at
Looks like a bog standard anti-lib account that farms their users with **** tier merch
Maybe I'm missing all the hypocrisy call outs
It is equal parts comical and depressing that the same rubes who fall for this **** can’t put two and two together on the implication of them suddenly being like ‘it’s time to stop caring’
Then it’s maddening cuz those same rubes petulant stupidity and anger is why we got here
Trump has announced another big DEAL that he just made with Ferdinand Marcos - who has been dead for 36 years
Housenuts giving the nod to defiantLs as an arbiter of truth is so on brand
Wow, got me!
The EPA has crafted a proposal that would undo the government’s "endangerment finding," a determination that pollutants from burning fossil fuels, such as carbon dioxide and methane, can be regulated under the Clean Air Act. The finding has long served as the foundation for a host of policies and rules to address climate change. The EPA’s proposal to revoke the finding is currently under review by the White House Office of Management and Budget.
Deeply unserious administration that insists on weaponizing stupidity for profit, risks be damned continues to weaponize stupidity for profit, risks be damned
npr had a pretty good timeline of trump going from "release the files" to hearing he's on them to changing it up to "there's a lot of nonsense out there so we need to release only the credible parts"
he's going on an all out blitz trying to discredit them right now - sounds like he's pretty prominent in it - which is hilarious that biden didn't release them
3 reasons I can think of that Biden wouldn’t have released them:
1. Distrust in the government at all time highs, woulda been seen as a ploy that nobody would have believed, trump rallies around the witch hunt
2. Other major names who require protection
3. Nothing here truly implicated anyone
Shrug
My guess is trump's name shows up a lot but nothing concrete that would implicate him in sex trafficking or diddling underage girls.
So, maga will have to decide to believe everything he says, or speculate that there's more of the story that isn't being told.
I'm also guessing Ghislane will say anything, or not say anything, to be released.
bondi is already trying to discredit any ghislaine statements before they even happen - could be anticipating that she may talk about trump, whether or not it's made up or not is another story

No matter what Bondi has said, I easily could see this heading off in a different direction. Would anyone be surprised if:
1. Behind closed doors, GM suggests that, if she received leniency, she would testify in a way that minimized the involvement of Trump and his cronies with Epstein and maximized the involvement of Trump's personal and political enemies. (GM wouldn't need explicit coaching. She isn't an idiot. She knows what testimony would be helpful to Trump.)
2. The Trump administration begins touting GM as the Rosetta Stone -- a term that Alan Dershowitz already applied to her.
3. The Trump administration announces that it has struck a deal with GM so that this entire matter can be put to rest.
4. GM testifies as described in 1.
5. The Trump administration says that the release of files is no longer important because the Rosetta Stone has explained what happened.
6. Idiots like mongidig lap it up and take victory laps around the internet talking about how the Democrats owned themselves.
even if dershowitz was wrongly implicated by giuffre, it's still amazing he's involved in this and hasn't stepped down due to the very serious awkwardness of being one of the only people accused
Hulk Hogan died knowing his hero, Donald Trump, was not yet in the Epstein files
A real American that one

He is 86 years old. He is probably involved because it is something he enjoys doing, and he doesn't have to worry too much about his future.
Was there an investigation? Was there a process by which people actually were found to be engaging in discrimination? Or did Trump et al just assume discrimination based off seeing a few key words?
No, Trump wants to control content of speech. And he doesn’t care if he destroys scientific progress.
I’m not sure you have followed the discussion: We are talking about colleges and universities. They aren’t hiding their discrimination. It doesn’t take an investigation to see from their admissions that they are discriminating against whites and Asians.
I’ve always been on team cut all govt handouts to college/universities to make it more affordable for kids to go to college but anymore these big schools are too powerful so that isn’t happening.
Baba is trying to tell us trump is the least authoritarian president ever. How do you even debate something so monumentally stupid as that?
I have named 6 or 7 reasons to support my argument that he has drastically reduced the power he has and I haven’t seen any claims of where he has increased the power of the President.

Yes I have been following this, but even if I hadn’t, generally if you’re going to make accusations of discrimination you should back it up with evidence rather than gut feeling/common sense. I really don’t care not even one little tiny bit what your assessment of the discrimination is and how obvious it is.
But anyway your second paragraph kind of shows that your argument about discrimination is from bad faith. You want to cut funding because you think it’s a government handout. So why even bring up the discrimination? Is it because you know that cutting tens of billions to research and university funding looks psychotic to many people so you have to lie about why it was done?

You haven't seen my multiple direct responses calling your points ass backwards?
I haven't watched South Park in ages, but because of all the recent press, I watched the most recent episode.
I'm honestly surprised that it ever saw the light of day. It's about as blatant a **** You to Trump and Paramount as you could possibly dream up.
right after getting a 1.5 billion dollar contract from Paramount too. Its definitely interesting it saw the light of day

You can’t seriously be suggesting a lot of colleges aren’t discriminating on the basis of race in their admissions process.
