President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

MIGA (and again: not racist. Btw having an aggressive indian name is respecting the culture of tribes that were exceptionally violent, not soy boys that can only utter homophobic slurs but would fold in an actual fight like bad qualit ice cream 20 minutes out of the fridge, like our friend stoppendrainman)

Bold isn't stupid. No it isn't. It is actually the crucial pillar of your entire legal system (among other things). If something is Ok for a long while it's absurd to change it , that's basically the core rule of your own ****ing society with very few exception, for laws, which are literally the agreeements the people in your society have to live togheter. That's how stupid it i

Settled precedence is a conjunction of lengthy adoption and good legal arguments in favor of a position. It never just hinges on lengthy adoption.

This is something both the liberals and conservatives have agreed on in the last 20 or so years of the Supreme Court, where they are deeply considering overturning settled precedence due to poor legal arguments in favor of.

So nice try but even it I accept that it’s analogous you’re still wrong about what’s going on there.

Make Indians Great Again while he aggressively pushes to privatize the national parks system and make a mockery of the lands that are sacred to their tribes.

I refuse to believe you are so stupid as to think this is genuine.

Not sure you followed but Trump nominated the most pro-natives judge in SCOTUS history with Gorsuch (from the right). Nobody on the right has ever given a **** as much as Gorsuch about natives in american history. Apart perhaps Coolidge.

McGirt v. Oklahoma (2020) (5-4) Gorsuch wrote the opinion

Washington State Department of Licensing v. Cougar Den, Inc. (2019) : again 5-4 Gorsuch the deciding vote

Herrera v. Wyoming (2019) : 5-4... again

Arizona v. San Carlos Apache Tribe (2024): 5-4 YET AGAIN

That only matters if you think Trump nominated Gorsuch because of his pro-Native opinions. I’m well aware that Gorsuch is pro-Native.

You can’t give people credit for things they didn’t intend to do.

So you can "orange man bad" every time there is an indirect link to Trump about something you dislike, but not the opposite? lol

Keep in mind Gorsuch was the "stolen seat" that determined a whole election cycle according to some people, and in some sense started the generational shift of the court we are witnessing the results of today.

One of the most important SCOTUS nominees in many many decades if not ever.

But sure his obsession about a specific nativist element of philosophical jurisprudence, which roughly and uneducatedly we could call "MIGA", was irrelevant for Trump sure.

Trump who obsessed as well with nativism... and never ever talked badly about natives...

Lucy I hope you understand that you will never matter. Nobody will like you. You will not parlay the time you have wasted on the Internet into something that is profitable or influential

Nobody will mourn your departure. Your life has been to this point and will forever be a complete waste

And I laugh at your attempts at proving that reality wrong

Also: gargle my nutsack, homie

He was 49 at the time of his nomination, which probably heavily played into why he was picked. He was also well-qualified according to the bar association.

It’s not orange man bad to point out that Gorsuch was not chosen because of his opinions on Natives. It’s just basic factual reality. When was this ever used as an argument for why he should be chosen?

I already did massively. not sure why you think i didn't.

I understand you need that cope to feel ok with yourself.

But it would be better for you if you actually didn't care about me for real, rather than if you cared about me failing when i alread had as much success as anyone needs to have **** you money and so the time to, if i wish so, have fun on internet forums (among other things)

You shouldn't let what happened to you in high school determine how you are going to live the rest of your life

A few core alt-right accounts are posting about Epstein.

This is the kind of content they post about (this guy is a median MAGA supporter)

There is a small but online-relevant % of people who will play ball to the idea that Trump is "covering up" Epstein stuff.

It's already going on too long vs a normal news cycle. But it will fade as everything does soon enough anyway. And you guys will be able to go back to other "orange man bad" takes that make more sense.

What is the take that you think people have about Epstein? Because the take I have seen is either the far left who don’t like Democrats saying it’s proof that Trump is in cahoots with the Dems and the pedophile sex ring, or more moderate liberals who are pointing out that many in Trump’s admin fanned the flames of Epstein conspiracies and are now backing down from them. This includes the Attorney General who claimed that the Epstein files were on her desk for review and now claims they don’t exist.

We’re pointing out they are spineless liars, not that Epstein conspiracies are true.

Of course you know this and are just lying because it is the thing that makes 100% sense politically to do, and misinformation has to be used by Democrats if they want a serious chance of winning. Being the fact checker is the losing position to be in when people don’t care about facts.

Om nom nom nom

I think most people are not upset by '' Trump is "covering up" Epstein stuff.'' and more upset by Trump's supporters willingness to forget anything that was campaigned on, in one instant, like it never happened or was a big deal.

They eating the dogs, they eating the cats.

Yes. It’s like Matt Walsh saying adultery should be a crime while supporting serial adulterer Donald Trump. People are tired of conservative hypocrisy and bootlicking.

This is perhaps one of my favorite stories of all time. This is a real world consequence, if you believe everything right-wing media is selling you.

An American father who moved to Russia to avoid LGBTQ+ “indoctrination” for his kids is being sent to the front line in Ukraine

Why would this be your favorite story?

Funny that the party who screamed fake news actually thrived on conspiracies and created fake news themselves, and never shown the receipts for the so called conspiracies.
I believe the (small) fracture we are seeing developping is the result of an enraged mob (of their own making) that want the receipts 1st time in their lifetime.

yep nothing racist in considering it a cultural abomination to change names because stuff that was normal for everyone forever became toxic for the worst people who ever lived in your society (=radical leftists).

It's abhorrent to bend the knee to radical leftists and morally necessary to undo everything they did in society.

And this has nothing to do with racism at all

Businesses should be able to do whatever they want with their businesses, right?

I don't think they succumbed to pressure when they changed their name; they determined that changing it would make them more money.
Including by selling a more branded merchandise to people who want to have the current name on their clothing bags, etc.

Why would this be your favorite story?

Someone who took the crazy drastic step of moving his entire family halfway across the world to a country that is an enemy of his own ruled by a volatile dictator, and where he doesn't even speak the language, is shocked that he was lied to and that it turned out to be not such a great idea.

IMO that's a feel-good story. Like when the Latino Trump supporter's wife got deported or when the rural white Trump supporter who wanted to stop 'freeloaders' is now whining about how his government health insurance subsidy is going away.

Yes people should pay the full price of their aberrant choices much more often and the world would quickly be a much better place if that happened systematically

Breaking my policy of not responding to Luciom to stop him from YET AGAIN spreading medical disinformation.

No evidence of increased chance of infertility from puberty blockers:

Kanthi Bangalore Krishna, John S. Fuqua, Alan D. Rogol, Karen O. Klein, Jadranka Popovic, Christopher P. Houk, Evangelia Charmandari, Peter A. Lee; Use of Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone Analogs in Children: Update by an International Consortium. Horm Res Paediatr 22 October 2019; 91 (6): 357–372. https://doi.org/10.1159/000501336

If regular puberty is resumed and puberty blockers are not started before Tanner II there should be no long-term impacts on fertility:

Businesses should be free but given they aren't under leftism the right can't answer with "we let them be free". If one side destroys you with the full power of the state if you don't comply, and the other doesn't care, everyone will comply with the hyper violent side because they can be in power in the future.

You need to react with >= violence than the other side to make it clear if someone bends the knees to your enemies you are a dar worse threat to them that they can ever be.

If leftists are obscene monsters (which they are).with companies that don't comply to their culture war vullshit, you need to be *a lot more violent than them* to fix it.
And yes the full fault is with the first side which starts the game, the other HAS TO REACT or he autoloses forever.
