President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

We all lose a step or three as we get older.

If you're like 90, then your posts are actually very good.

If you're under 80, I would encourage you to try harder.

lol 😀

everyone is racist *according to the current definition of the left* which is why it's demented to use their definition. And they even touched that topic (although limiting it to whites): at peak wokeness, they were actually claiming every single white person was racist.

Because it actually was according to their definitions

Haven't lots of rightwingers essentially been using 'everybody's actually racist anyway' as a defense for their own racism?

Yes, is the answer 😀

Yeah they think whiteness is a social relation or something weird.

I remember there was some peak twitter posters that had the word “racist” in their bio to indicate that they had fully acknowledged the consequences of their whiteness and recognized they were not one of the good ones, or something.

Just really demented crap.

Racism is a spectrum.

This is perhaps one of my favorite stories of all time. This is a real world consequence, if you believe everything right-wing media is selling you.

An American father who moved to Russia to avoid LGBTQ+ “indoctrination” for his kids is being sent to the front line in Ukraine, despite being assured he would serve in a non-combat role.

Derek Huffman, 46, feels he is being “thrown to the wolves” after being told that his job in the military would be as a correspondent or as a welder, his wife, DeAnna, said in a recorded plea for prayers, which has since been removed from her YouTube page.

Huffman has no prior military experience, DeAnna said, adding that his limited training was conducted in Russian. She suggested the language barrier has made her husband particularly unprepared for the horrors of combat.

That's because it largely is. Like whether Ted Cruz is white is or not heavily depends on the context. Growing up, when bubbling in race on state standardized tests, the category was White Non Hispanic specifically because many Hispanics might self identify as white, but the state didn't want to group them in with all the other whites for the purposes of analysis.

The real misery here is the likely future awaiting his three daughters, who are 10-12 years old.

Some enlightened both sides bro will be here soon to tell us why democrats are responsible for this.

Sure, but if you think social relations are exhaustive of being white you will start to say stuff like “white people are inherently racist”.

And if people reject being white by saying “I’m not white because race doesn’t exist” or something, they are considered racist because they are denying race.

So Critical Theory has basically made it so that we can never deny that race exists without being called a racist. We also can’t be white without being a racist.

Besides, if whiteness is just a social relation, we could not take a picture of someone and ask the question “is this person white?” with any degree of accuracy. Because we would need to know how they actually act in the context of society. I suspect that you would not say that this is true, right? I think we can determine with high confidence who is white and who isn’t based strictly on appearance.

I never said white is JUST a social relation. It's a hybrid concept with changing meanings over time. I agree a picture is all we need to determine if someone is white, it's just our classifications are sociological and there can be some disagreement like on Ted Cruz because it is not a question that has a universal binary answer.

Blahblah, lucy, etc: Donald Trump is the least racist President in history

Well when I said whiteness is a social relation I meant that they think it is just a social relation.

I can see how it would be confusing though so that’s my fault.

We definitely need Presidents picking names for sports teams. Dude is grabbing onto anything he can to try to deflect lol

Yes believing in bullshit has consequences. That's true also if you take a 250k student loan for fat studies because you believed in social justice and thought democrats would have canceled it anyway.

Or if you sterlize your 11 year old boy because he said to you (or you imagined he did) that he feels he is a girl.

Or if you believe pedophiles are organizing satanic rituals under a pizza parlour and you act on that.

And so on and on.

AND IT IS GOOD IF THOSE PEOPLE ARE SELECTED AWAY FROM SOCIETY BECAUSE OF THAT. It's bad when innocent third parties suffer from their actions though.

yep nothing racist in considering it a cultural abomination to change names because stuff that was normal for everyone forever became toxic for the worst people who ever lived in your society (=radical leftists).

It's abhorrent to bend the knee to radical leftists and morally necessary to undo everything they did in society.

And this has nothing to do with racism at all

it has been normal for years is a stupid argument.

especially considering that the racist sports names only gained popularity in the 20th century with the advent of modern professional sports.

I assume we don’t want to bring back minstrel shows just because they were widely popular. Or the Zulu Cannibal Giants.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zulu_Can...

also pretty sure radical leftists want to abolish all professional commercial sports because they view them as capitalist excesses. it’s liberals like myself that want to get rid of overt racism like “washington redskins” (although myself I never cared about it that much and think it’s a very small issue).

Source

If you need sources for families that were ok with puberty blockers for 11y old (yes, those can cause sterility) you have been frozen in ice for the last 15 years.

Bold isn't stupid. No it isn't. It is actually the crucial pillar of your entire legal system (among other things). If something is Ok for a long while it's absurd to change it , that's basically the core rule of your own ****ing society with very few exception, for laws, which are literally the agreeements the people in your society have to live togheter.

That's how stupid it is to take into account for how long something has been normal. NOT AT ALL.

YEs unfortunately that makes progressivism, inherently "almost always completly wrong and deeply inimical to the core of society".... which.. it is.
