I hope not. Haven't played there in several years and am looking forward to returning to the Summer Poker Open on July 19th.

It's a complete and utter disaster.

the racebook taking the place of the tables in the front of the room is such a joke. not even lounge chairs, just conference room chairs and tables

Yeah it's not a good look at all

Any pics?

Since Thursday’s MLB trivia was such a hit, I’m bringing it back this Tuesday! The first 30 people to answer correctly will get the chance to purchase a full-year subscription and 50 fixes for just $500 (normally $3,000)

Who holds the record for the most home runs in a single MLB season?
Send correct answer to my email.
Unlock 12 months of VIP Zone access and 50 fixes
You have 12 hours to complete the payment (after that, the offer becomes inactive)*

Oh, and today only – a 100% guaranteed free super fix! Trust me, go BIG on this one – it’s free money!

*If payment isn’t made within the given time, the offer will expire and the spot will go to the next person on the waiting list (i.e., the next correct entries — 31st, 32nd, etc.). Those on the list will be notified right away when a spot opens and will have 12 hours to complete their payment.

Jesus that looks awful

Nah thats ridiculous. They literally do not care for poker at all

I wonder what their plan is for 5 years from now after 95% of those guys have died of old age.

The entire room is a joke at this point. It went from arguably the best room in the country at one point to this pathetic ghost town.

I know you’re all feeling the darkness here today, but there’s no reason to give in. We have the Summer Open starting, let’s have a great turn out!

Im actually pumped to be heading back after not playing there for several years. They are guaranteeing 600k for a 600 BI so i imagine they are expecting anywhere between 1500-2000 runners for Thursday - Saturday. They have to have their stuff somewhat put together for that type of crowd over three days. I wonder how theyre gonna squeeze everyone in if they got rid of that whole front section. Just fearful theyll start turning people away saturday morning which im expecting to be the biggest turnouts for Day 1 out of Thursday/Friday/Sat 5pm?

The back area that’s formally the high stakes room is now the tournament area, and for the open they’ll definitely be using the upstairs room and/or the conference center

Even before, the big events often used the Signature Room (on the other side of the surface lot entrance) or other event space and weren't crammed entirely into the poker room. What they do now...I guess we'll get reports soon. Even without the front dozen tables, there are still theoretically 65 tables in the poker room.

Not sure if Poker.org is covering the summer open as they have the past few event series. But usually these poker series are held in the Conference center, with some spill over to the signature room and/or poker room for the larger events.

I plan to play the Almighty and maybe the B.E.A.S.T event if I feel like trying my hand at my first live Mixed event.

i wanna play the BEAST event and hope it draws well and they keep running mixed events!!

They ran an 8 game during the winter open. Chainsaw made the final table. I don't see one on the schedule this summer.

ah i see they also ran SHORE, TOE, and 2-7TD events in the winter. not a good sign they arent running all of those again this time, but i feel like getting 60-70 runners is pretty good?

339 entries for Flight A of Event 1, they’ll probably hit the $600k guarantee before the Saturday flights even start.

Opener has ~500K in the prize Pool before the Saturday Flights, off to a good start.

I do wish they had more Mixed events on the schedule for the summer open, but they did just have that mixed series recently. I would of loved to see a single 2-7 TD Torny again, but The B.E.A.S.T should suffice.

I am struggling to see who they are trying to attract with this $10K "experience" event, with high rake and no guarantee, that runs during the middle of the week.

How about running an actual good secondary event to the Main, so people traveling have something else to play if they bust?
