It might shock you to learn there aren't any Snow White exhibits among all the Beer, Schnitzel, and Wurst when we go to German festivals. But being American is about accepting all cultures. Thats why I also go to Medieval fairs, Chezk festivals, and pretty much any event there is solid food while not complaining about immigrants and alphabet soup

I think it's the woke aspect, rather than inclusion. I never saw any bitching about Blade, The Warriors, Assault on Precinct 13, Big Trouble in Little China, Magnum Force, Dawn of the Dead or a whole heap of other films with diverse casts. I think some get annoyed over having political messages rammed down their throats with all the subtlety of a knee to the groin, as opposed to smart social commentary. It basically becomes activist cinema and often the actual story takes a back seat to the message. Majority of people, even those who like films with social commentary, just like to be entertained. If the social commentary is clever, such as say Fight Club, Robocop, Natural Born Killers, Starship Troopers, Talk Radio, Syriana or Goodnight and Good Luck, it can give the viewer food for thought, as well as entertainment. Films considered "woke" tend to make the viewer feel lectured to. Where's the fun in that?

They took a folktale about how older women (we call them Karen today) are incredibly evil with younger women at times, intersexual competition among women basically , with men being the helpers of the weaker younger woman to prevail against the assault of the older privileged woman who doesn't want competition, and recasted it with a latino woman commanding magical creatures (it's not dwarves anymore) with no romance.
It's a complete defiling of a story with a specific moral arc and message
