I would not compare Seattle to true shitholes like rural bama, west Virginia, Florida, Texas etc. If I had to move Seattle would definitely make the top 10 of places I'd want to go.

Ya it's probably near top of my list due to proximity to current location. A top 10 list of cities to move to would be interesting. Seattle might even be top 5 for me.
I understand the joke. However, there is a serious side to it as well. At some point just continuing to blame everybody else means you can't solve anything.

I know nothing about him, but republicans gave (had?) a secular opportunity to secure a rightwing judiciary for the foreseeable future, something so important it (imho) overshadows almost any other political consideration.
Keeping the Senate majority caucus is exceptionally important, kind of a "life or death" situation over the long term, and republicans used to understand how crucial and existential that was.
And these days they covered murkowsky in pork, giving her absurd, insane gifts just to keep her in the caucus (including a "whale boat deduction" thing which was really insane).
But with Tillis it's either hubris, they think they can win the NC seat with a "proper" MAGA name (which is an absurd risk given how purple the state is)

We just discussed how according to some people Seattle isn't a city trashed by horrible leftist deranged policies, it isn't a city were crime is rampant and law abiding residents are violated by criminals which the city decided to let roam free.
