Collusion at Final Table of Millionaire Maker!
Yaginuma vs Carroll. Carroll enters final table with 10 to 1 chip lead, Yaginuma gets $1 million dollar bonus from Club WPT Gold!
So they make a deal.
Carroll: okay I’ll let you win but how?
Yaginuma: when you raise an odd number you are bluffing. Even number means you have it.
Carroll: easy no one will ever suspect!
Yaginuma short stack 9 bigs has top pair (75) on 766 board. Carrol leads out for 4 million (even number) with trip 6s. Yaginuma makes “impossible” fold.
lol!
Similarly blatant to Robbi
Can't wait for the discussion
Burning Questions:
1. Does WPT Gold pay?
2. Does the WSOP get involved? Do they even care once it’s heads up? Should they care?
3. How much did Carroll get offered to throw? He gets $250,000 less for 2nd place, so have to pay him that amount just to break even. Half of the million? All of it?
3. How much of the million gets paid out to the 2 players if Carroll wins?
All of it goes to the other guy. Then he has to give some (all? Most?) to Carroll
regardless we prolyl wont see a structure ticket type like this again
His quote after winning is pretty funny
From Pokernews: With three WSOP online bracelets already to his name, Yaginuma was proud to finally capture one on the live stage. "It feels great. I mean, everyone always calls my old bracelets fake bracelets. You know, that's to be argued. But it feels great to have a live one."

that's way too funny
If there was collusion and chip dumping then there are WSOP rules about that. I think even with only two players left it could be argued to be against the rules. The WSOP would not like that one of their tournaments went down like that. If they did what the speculation says, they might have just cost themselves not only the bonus money, but all of it. They should be a little anxious tonight.
Stapes and Tuchman were hilarious they knew what was up.
We maybe stupid but we are not idiots.

The funny thing is I bet neither of them thinks they cheated (or at least are ambivalent).
I personally love Stapes' commentary but if I was gonna collude there, having Stapes and Tuch on the mic is the nuts.
I was incredulous at about a dozen hands when Stapes comments about pro wrestling made the light bulb officially turn on.
Also in before their scummy apologists try to gaslight us into thinking Carroll all of a sudden became the very worst heads up player of all time.
I didn't think many people would defend it but the majority of high stakes guys are defending the players with the excuse of "**** the corporation"
It's pretty scary through a long lens
X is hilarious right now
75% of poker players are outing themselves as scumbags
I can’t wait to see how PokerGo edits this **** show for CBS Sports. I might actually watch h one of their edited poker shows
I mean it seems like cheating is just fair game now...
How do they balance that with shunning the recent online ghosters/multi-accounters?
I'm taking it as, **** morals, cheating is now fair game as long as you get away with it and it supports your political views
Let the cheating begin boys
Seriously heartbroken about how terrible so many people in this space are

WSOP events go down like that all the time, nobody cares (outside people on social media who always care about everything). People obviously chop heads-up and sometimes one of the players wants the bracelet more than the other and is willing to pay for it.
There's also no collusion in a poker sense because that requires a third party getting hurt. You can argue the two players colluded against Club WPT though.
The WSOP shouldn't do anything about it because it doesn't concern them and if they do something now they would have to do something next time, too. Which night be tomorrow.

Surely knowing once he gets HU he’s gonna win the bonus million affects how the winner plays throughout the final table. Knowing he can get there with only a few blinds affects everyone else

That's on the WSOP and WPT Club for allowing a promotion like that in the first place even though everyone knows how that's going to end.
If the NFL allowed for a sponsor to pay $555mil to the first QB who passes for 555 yards, Norm Van Brocklin would be relieved of his record the very next game.
Silly to be upset by this - no different than chopping heads up. Final two can do whatever they want. Lol Club WPT Gold.
Then why try to disguise it at all? If it's cool.
Does the WSOP have a rule against this? Even so, is it worth all the money and time that would be spent not paying out and dealing with lawsuits?
Same with WPT. Gotta factor in the cost of lawsuits back and forth if they don't pay out.
Would be interesting to know the agreement, is it just the two of them splitting the entirety of all the money? I imagine with the bracelet/win the golden ticket guy might be fronting more of the prize money to the losers side, since he was likely going to lose that headsup battle in the first place given the chip deficit.
