Competent poker players see an Advantage Play sitting in on Trooper Thursday.

Saw him a couple of weeks at Bellagio checking high limit buffalo ascension machines , fairly amusing considering the bet size if there is anything close to a play on those and the money needed for it. I travel to Vegas 6-8 times a year and it's been over 2 years since I've seen an AP play on any of those machines in any casino I've been in.

10 days pass and Trooper really delivered in this new video after making everyone wait. More aimless rambling, more losing, and more overwhelming negative comments in his own comment section.

Speaking of which, love how he rants for 5 minutes about some idiot who was making change for everyone. Then he spends a whole 10 seconds discussing his result and the bust out hand. Of course he was already very short stacked by the time of his bustout and there is absolutely no explanation of how he got so short stacked.

Typical Trooper ends his rant on the strip by reminding everyone that he is always right about everything and that everyone else is an idiot except for him. Anyone else daring to breath the same air as him on the strip is seemingly a source of infinite annoyance to him. He would be so much happier if he was the only person alive and only had to deal with squirrels, elks and mountain lions, instead of other disgusting humans.

In Vegas machines like BL get checked so often. It's really a waste of time checking them.

I play slot and see different advantage players checking the same slots every few mins. It's rare to find a good one and they're quickly taken once they appear.

Phoenix Link and Buffalo Link are not even that profitable even when you do find a good one. The free bonus in Buffalo Link can be terrible if you get free games and you can also get wrecked just moving the counter that last 10% of the way. Of course it can also be amazing but the volatility is crazy.

No offense to those of you who like this sort of thing, but walking around checking slot machines and fighting off others doing the same thing sounds like an absolutely miserable way to spend one’s time. Is the allure that it’s better than counting cards because you aren’t doing anything that would get you kicked out?

The allure is that its incredibly easy, and you basically never lose compared to other forms of gambling that have lots of variance. Casinos will def kick you out, some are more aggressive than others, including the westgate, alot of them dont seem to really care. Trooper painted a big target on his back and has lots of haters, wouldnt be surprised if some of them alert security to what hes doing and get him booted from places.

He was playing that phoenix link early like borg said, there is a possiblity this awakens the degen in him. Very easy when you win 1500 in a day on the strip, different story when you have a hard time finding anything and what you do find you lose on, will be interesting to see how he handles it. I know alot of people that do it that used to play poker, the successfulness of people is pretty inline with how they did in poker, the live 1-2 regs, dont have as much success as the online mtt grinder friend of mine. Will be interesting to see how it all develops.

The vultures who do it full time must be pretty miserable I would imagine. Personally it's just something I'm aware of and I check in on certain machines when I'm at various casinos anyway for other stuff. That's the best way for me, both from a time management perspective and also for my own sanity. I can happily pass up on marginal plays because it's not my bread and butter like it is for full time slot guys. There's always a BJ table open for me which has much better EV than a marginal slot AP ever will.

I'm far from an expert on this stuff but there are definitely people who have some knowledge, obviously will play stuff when it's +ev but when they can't find the right plays then will play things that are close because at their core they're degens. And in vegas so many people are checking machines, people get frustrated and play things too early. Trooper also is a stone moron for not using a card when he's playing. Only exception would be if he played a ton one day, then was just gonna play something quick on a different day and didn't want to ruin his ADT. But he's too dumb to even manipulate comps properly.

Lol there is plenty of variance and you can definitely lose. Especially the way Trooper is doing it!
