I thought Trooper played the flopped flush hand fine. Obviously the turn bet is going to be a lot of sets, and people will fold sets face up on flush boards that didn't pair. It ain't 2006 anymore. Grinding out $20 an hour isn't going mean every hand is a Keating v. Airball leveling war where 1000bbs get into the middle with one guy holding 6 high. I'm not sure what the criticism even is.

However, this all seems so bizarre to me. From the earliest days of the boom, people were watching live poker matches online, especially heads-up high stakes. TuffFish was making poker videos which are classics to this day. I once saw a short video of a six year old playing poker on her dad's Poker Stars account calmly explaining that she knew she was ahead on the flop because her hand had a "q" and the board also had a "q". And she was right and ended up winning a $100 pot! I remember when Doug Polk live-streamed a whole 25NL challenge on a proto-Twitch platform.
And when blogging became a trend, everyone and their mother had a poker blog, before Twitter made "micro-blogging" the more mainstream platform. Then too YouTube and video blogs came along in full force as everyone had smartphones with cameras all of a sudden. The Trooper thinks he's Neil Armstrong when at best he just scooted across a newly opened bridge first.
Imagine if the Bostonian who drove the first car across the Zakim I-93 bridge was still talking about it today, 22 years later, walking through the North End with a big hand-made hat with the words "Undriven" stenciled across the top, while filming selfie-stick monologues about being the "old G" and how everything smells like weed these days. They'd bring back the loony bins just to keep an eye on the guy.

I'm not sure what hand you are even talking about.
The only hand Trooper discussed recently was his bustout hand from the 1k Mystery Bounty WSOP event. He turned bottom 2 pair against villain with a pair, double gutshot straight draw and straight flush draw. Trooper raised all in and got looked up. Villain hit jis flush and Trooper was eliminated. People commented that Villain played the hand totally fine and somehow that got Trooper all bent out of shape lol
It was this one that I was late responding to. I was going to get to the video because someone said he talked about a hand. It just took me about a week to get to it.
Trooper sure has a lot of hate-watchers on YouTube.
I can't begin to think of another youtuber who has even close as many hate-watchers as Trooper does?

I'm not sure it's hate as much as this: people watch DePaulo to laugh WITH him, and watch Trooper to laugh AT him. And for Trooper that is completely self-inflicted. If he were a break-even player and had some modesty about him, people would likely gravitate toward him in an understanding and sympathetic way, but his arrogance combined with the lack of results makes him unlikeable. He was only a "VILLAIN" because he made himself a "VILLAIN."
Wtf is Trooper talking about? Who are these mythical enemies that will now suddenly want to be his friends? Just cause he might be successful in whatever endeavor UNFINISHED becomes?
Do you ever see Boski cozying up to Trooper no matter how successful or popular or if he becomes a GTO bot high stakes crusher?

Cant get over how old the trooper looks. Hes really aged quite a bit. Im surprised how old he looks every time. And those teeth, never really noticed these things before, but really stick out in this video to me

Trooper doesnt care just because he talks about something on his vlog, hes just a content creator and definitely doesnt take these criticisms home with him and they dont stew within him like they do with rice. They definitely dont burn him up and drive his decisions very often. He doesnt go on full blown rage tilt twitter rants because he cant control his emotions as a 50 year old man, wanting to shove it down our throats when he min cashes the main event at some point for a tidy $600 profit to him personally.
