Jack Malik - Yesterday
Yesterday is a facinating movie about a struggling musician (Jack Malik played by Himesh Patel) who get hit by a truck during a world wide power outage. When he wakes up the world is little different. It is a world where the Beatles never existed? But he being a musician and fan he remembers all of their songs even though no one else has ever heard them. He goes on to use those songs to become a major musical sensation. As a huge Beatles fan myself I really love this movie.

Lazarus, tough & crazy as he is, finally cracked up over Daffy & Donald on top of the human toons and the vampires, so I’m getting him some humans to jam with.
Every great (mortal) band has a great drummer, so I’m taking Andrew from Whiplash, along with Fletcher to keep the ducks in line, boss Roadie Roger around and act as emcee/manager, AND the “Bassist (JVC)” played by Marcus Henderson, who I’ve got receipts for.

Avoidance Records, too hard to explain
The film isn't highly regarded by some, but no one can dispute the genius of the opening. One of my favorite actors plays Billy Mack, a guy hanging on to his career, but will have a hit song despite it being pure ****. It's Billy Mack coming back.

Is Dueling Banjos the most memorable/iconic musical scene in a non-musical movie in film history? Note soundtrack stuff like Rocky running the steps doesn’t count, and OOPS I forgot about Play It Again, Sam again, right as I was typing this.

Not all movies based on comic books are pure ****. This one features a battle of the bands. An Everyman needs to win a number of battles to reach his goal. Besides, Brie Larson.

dammit John, that was my next pick....and I didn't think of Billy Mack, but if I had, I woulda picked him!
I’ve talked a lot about Miles Davis, so I might as well take the man who knows everything about him.
If you watch the scene closely and look at the shooting script, there was some confusion over if he was intended to be a saxophone player, which would’ve made more sense (Miles ain’t jamming with no teenage trumpet player), but Mann correctly wanted to use the alltime GOAT “Spanish Key” for the scene, so I say he can play both!

Also an experienced club owner, and after Vietnam, Culiacan, and Cartagena, vampires shouldn’t faze him. But he’s also a snitch, so my birds in the trees will be watching him closely. We cover all the bases here at Avoidance Records.

That's a tough one. I can't judge most famous movie but Paul Simon in Annie Hall and Art Garfunkel in Carnal Knowledge.

Bowie had more than few roles. But Sinatra is a good call and Dean Martin had some dramatic roles as well. Will Smith he's an oscar winner? Probably gotta go with Cher since she won an oscar too in Moonstruck. Did she sing in it though? Been too long since I saw it.
Well, at least we all agree Del Griffith is ineligible, though I just used a supplemental pick to have him run the merchandise booth.

I went to the Metropolitan Opera a few months ago to see La Boheme just because that's the opera and the place Nick Cage takes her in Moonstruck.
