NBA 2025-26 Season Thread: THE NY KNICKS ARE CHAMPIONS! BING BONG!
Lettuce NBA!
and lettuce lol @ James Harden
NBA teams up 9+ in final 1:00 were 1434-0 until tonight…
Told y’all this game is #1
reason brunson sat so long after picking up #5 is because the Knicks absolutely crushed with him out of the game
extended lead from 2 to 16 or something before he came back in
I’d pay good money to hear Larry David rant about this game right about now.
sorry McLovin, the Pacers have a curse on the Knicks. Haliburton's brick dropping in at the end of regulation is prima facie evidence of this.
Courtside ticket holders should have to do press after the game like the players
Haliburton is turning into a living legend right before our eyes
👍 reminds me of a quote I heard at the Texas Station in North Las Vegas (RIP) circa 2001 with a bunch of Black guys arguing with each other about college football ....the quote was "Money is my favorite team!"
still sticks with me today and is still clearly true
yo ld, do you still like the knackz?

I do have some Knicks at 14-1 to title from preseason.
So basically just rooting for a fun series. Not stressing the Knicks really (although it would be beyond epic in NYC if they shipped it). My friend (under stress of the game) texted me tonight during the last few mins of regulation:
"playoff basketball isn't enjoyable"
Taunting occurred after the final buzzer in regulation. I don't know what the rule is, but I suspect that the Knicks would have shot the free throws in overtime if Halliburton had gotten a tech for taunting.
It's the NBA, man. There are no rules. They just make this **** up as they go. All of the 10-minute dipsy doo reviews but they can't put an obvious game winner goaltend on the board because reasons.
I know this is was Ai generated, but I swear it really could've been his actual press conference.

in crunch time OR overtime, when it's a bang-bang play (which it clearly was) I'm pretty damn sure the referee is supposed to call goaltend ---- because no call means you can't review it.
Silver sent along a memo before OT that the Pacers should win the game.
RC has to quit some of these suicidal bench groups
Yep. If one wants to say that tonight's game was the greatest playoff game ever I'm fine with that. It deserves THAT kind've consideration. But the greatest choke job ever is still without a doubt that Pacers-Knicks game where Reggie hits two 3's in the final seconds. Allowing the Reggie part to happen was all time choke status in itself but then you combine that with Starks missing both free throws. I mean nothing compares to that.
Anunoby smokes a breakaway layup in the second quarter.
Thibs wastes his challenge on an obvious foul in the third
Really bad play from Hart with 30 seconds left in overtime. Gets caught staring at the ball and lets Nemby cut right beneath him for the game winning layup
Robinson also nowhere to be found as he’s caught staring at his own man in the corner
Also that Hali shot to end regulation is the luckiest NBA shot made since Kawhi’s triple bounce in to eliminate Philly en route to the title.
Luckier imo. I can't remember seeing a luckier bounce off the rim in the NBA this entire year. If I shot threes for an hour a day in a gym for an entire year, I certainly wouldn't expect to see a single one that bounced two feet above the backboard and fell in.
