Wonderful, Great to hear, which Airport ?
Good luck in the series.

PS: the lines really sucked though , probably like 500 people in line , and only 2 booths were open (took forever)

Mind reporting if you see 5card plo running?

Nope, only 4
But that’s consistent with the years before, 5 card only goes in the Kings Lounge at Paris after WSOP has started in my experience

The last few years it went at the Wynn a couple times of week.

True that.
But only with lots of begging/asking/tipping the floor etc.

The consistent 5card game is the one at kings lounge (though mostly bad/reg infested), + 14$ rake + bad service etc

For us foreigners you can register online now on WSOP+ app and pay with PayPal or Luxon Pay. Just need to verify in person on arrival. Makes it easy to not have to carry so much cash over border, or need to pay credit card fees.

travelled to america. zero border issues.

I have now spoken to a number of friends who came through San Francisco, Chicago, and directly to Las Vegas. None reported any trouble.

Too much paranoia. Its the classic one person had all these crazy issues so it's now the norm syndrome.

Btw, regarding the 10k+ in cash rule:

Why cant Euros just transfer the funds they need to a local bank before hand and then just go pick it up? Or transfer to the casino even? If you're ballin like that, shouldn't this be an option? My bad if its a dumb question and there's an obvious issue here.

It isn't easy to for a foreign national to open an account in the US on the fly w/o a reason. KYC and AML regs have made banks very skittish.

You can wire to WSOP c/o Paris. But I believe that has a min of $100K.

Need to compliment them on the app itself … really well done, lots of useful features … def a major step forward

I'm surprised they didn't offer to make you an honorary citizen! With a name like whiskey jack you sound as American as apple pie.

Anyway good luck at the WSOP!

Thx buddy.

Btw: whiskeyjack is the name of a figure/hero in one of my alltime favorite books “Malazan book of the fallen” Series

Ps: re. The app:
Wondering why they didn’t include cash outs , still have to go to the desk for that.

Ok fair enough, but I was thinking of like Chase bank which apparently has a presence in Europe. You put money in an account there, it should still be available in America, no?

The only people concerned/not going were broke ******s who didnt have a buyin

I did not know that. Just lougled it and it looks like that series could be right up my alley. Might pick the first one up to relax with at the pool between buy-ins.

Amazing book, you’ll love it.
Very deep, epic fantasy

Different banks under the same umbrella.

I have a Chase UK account. I can use my Chase card in a Chase ATM in Vegas but I am still subject to UK withdrawal limits daily (capped at £500) and can't do any other banking in a Chase branch with a teller.

The only benefit to me is spot rate exchange at time of withdrawal and no fees for using their ATM, so I withdraw $500 and my bank is debited by $500, no more.

500 limit is weak. I think if youre with them long enough, you can get up to a few grand everyday. UK has a strange rule.

Man, im not leaving in 2 weeks....Just counting down everyday. Its brutal

Most UK banks are £300 per day domestically and with Chase, it doesnt matter how long you are with them, that is a hard limit.

Quite rare we actually use cash these days, vast majority pay everything by card.

lol at doomers thinking the numbers were going to be down

god damn you people always take Ls

I personally never said anything about the numbers, but if someone asked what I thought i probably would have said its hit about its ceiling . What do you think?
