He never gives the entire hand history. The rest of the video just shows him walking around the Strip and giving his opinion on stuff. Nothing wrong with that, but who cares if the haters criticize his play? Just delete the YouTube comments if they do.

Depends how much money went in and when. Most 1/2 nits aren't putting piles into a dry pot on the river without close to the nuts. Unless villain is a total spaz monkey that just happens to have the nuts here it's not necessarily a spot you have to go broke.

The worst part of this HH is that he obviously only called the flop-bet from the UTG-limper, instead of fast-playing his hand and getting more value on the street where it's easiest to get it (the flop).

Probably hard to avoid getting stacked though since we have the very best 6x, but it depends on the action and the opponent. And obviously Trooper conveniently left out what happened after the flop.

Yeah this. Especially if Trooper got bet/3bet raised on the river he can absolutely get away without getting stacked, wich i would believe is what went down.

I think he may die soon because if he's working "permanently" then he's not going to be able to have a ZZ Top beard, and he lives by "death before shaving".

He'll prob still be a nomad, living in air bnb's. Unless he breaks another long-standing edict about apartment deposits. My guess is that he'll feel really flush with 2 paychecks and decide he's sick and tired of the bungie walk every few days. He might even get a luxury apartment with washer and dryer.

Brunson always said “Don’t go broke in an unraised pot”. The mistake was not raising pre with A6 in my opinion. If you watch Brad Owen’s vlogs, he almost NEVER limp/calls into a pot. He is always raising, or he might flat a raise if he is in position. If Troop get re-raised pre flop, then you can figure out what to do and likely realize the guy has a monster. Also, Trooper never ever discusses “Well the other player was ABC poker, or a lose gamble type”. If the guy stacks you in a a “raised” pot, and you played aggressively, then that is fine in my opinion. Same result, but you didn’t break the “don’t go broke in an unraised pot” rule.

I have no interest in playing a $4 pot pre flop. Which it sounds like it was.

Troops “Unfinished business” is a joke. As much as I would like him to do well, he has never has studied the game seriously it seems. He is still playing 2008-2010 era poker ,which was make a hand.

In the meantime, Brad Owen is now playing in Bobby’s room and he got started WAY after Trooper….Is Brad Owen just luckier than Trooper?

If Trooper was even crushing 1/3 nl in 2010 he's still be beating it solidly now. It doesn't mean he'd be beating 5/10 or anything like that but he'd do well by 1/3 standards.

I mean yea people are better and rake is higher so he wouldn't win as much today. But he didn't even crush back then.

As much of a dismal failure as the candy business was I could at least understand how through sheer ignorance he thought he could scale it. But he flopped around poker for years on end with zero success and magically thinks poker is now the answer. The level of delusion to be in your 50s and think that way is pretty incredible.

This is great advice. There's usually one guy that always raises 5bb preflop. Plus you can get extra action when you flop monsters.

Relying on the champs ITT to provide recaps of ED and T97 and LT, can't be bothered unless there is food disaster porn.
