Do you believe in God?
Tell me people do you believe in God?
Just because god didn't do it doesn't make it random. In your poker results for the year, do you think it was random unless god determined it?
Truth is what matches reality. Aspects of reality can be good or bad, but there is no evidence it has any inherent meaning, the only meaning that which we wish to ascribe it. You are calling reality "random facts" because you wish it to have some intrinsic meaning, but you can't demonstrate it has any. Certainly not from the Bible, which is clearly contradictory, says false th
Why would you reject the only verifiable truth because it lacks the inherent meaning you crave, and adopt an unsupportable view of reality based on wishes
Why would you deny your humanity and deny yourself any chance of fulfillment?
Are human beings meant to serve science or is science meant to be in service to humanity?

Its truth that everyone sins. Even thinking that your good because you donate to charity is sin which what freemassory is all partly about? make good men great. another lie only Jesus is Good the way they are trying to be good. BTW jeavoah witness mormons were all started by masons. go figure. more false teachings.
Only thing that makes you good is believing that Jesus died for your sins, was buried and he rose on the third day. This is what makes you rightous.
Romans 4:5, “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.”
this means what i just said. Faith makes you good (righteous) in the eyes of God. not not sinning, a desire to stop stealing or getting drunk or whatever.
Yes there's other scriptures saying that dont be decieved that drunks will not inherit the kingdom of God but that applies to UNBEILieving Drunks.
the scirtpures also says YOU SHOULD walk in good works. Notice here it says SHOULD. Not must. this means christians should give to charity not must give to charity to go to heaven. Living a life where you do good going to work paying your taxes etc honest living wont get you to heaven. But a christian (SHOULD) NOT (MUST) DO THIS and its the actual FAITH that gets him/her into heaven and nothing else added.
theres a hooker in the bible that continued in sex work but had faith + good works. She is a sex worker who is going to heaven and also going to be rewarded in heaven with the treasure from the good works.
no amount of good untos the bad. JUDAS had NO faith, repented meaning tried to do good not repented and believed the gospel which is in coriathians if anyone wants to find the true gospel.
Ive heard all sorts of false teachings from churches and they need to get saved but they trust in themselves to get to heaven self rightousness.
As for the science folk who say christanity is a load of rubbish they can't even understand the bible so listening to them is a waste of time. I can show evidence according to the scriptures leaders in churches will be after making money. And there's evidence that there's people in churches who ask for money all the time and even tell lies to get that money. (fabicated stories). this is just 1 example of evidence for todays world. there's also people out there claiming to be JESUS CHRIST today ive personally met some who even had a little following and theres ones on 60 mins or whatever show it is not sure with bigger followings.
spellling is bad but i dont care.
Also there's no you MUST gotta believe in God (JESUS). It's Gods will YOU MAY not should or must that you Believe in God to save you.
This means maybe you will or maybe you won't. just a possiblity you may and thats the will of GOD.
God knows who will believe but he doesn't choose who will. FREEWILL to choose.
Theres people in churches and there's lots of them that choose to believe in false teachings that lead them to hell and claim they are christians because they read the bible and go to church and obey God they say.
They should do those things but they may actually get right with God and just believe in the gospel. they got freewill to do this but choose not to believe in the gospel but believe in a different gospel not one from the book of 1 coriathians 15 1-5.
i wrote need but noone needs to do anything. its MAY believe not need to believe.
need is forcing. may is choice. God giving you permission to believe in him. you may decide you want what God is going to give you. or you may not want it and decline.
Science serves humanity by demonstrating what is most likely to be true. You don’t like the fact that it’s been unable to demonstrate any meaning to life. Instead of demonstrating there is meaning to life, you simply assert there is.
So again, what good reason or evidence is there to believe life has meaning?

You want me to use scientific truth to demonstrate something outside the bounds of science (meaning) because you believe that no one should ever explore beyond the domain of empiricism.
This is why I say you are a slave to rationalistic empiricism. YouÂ’d rather deny your desire for meaning than risk the unknown even for a moment.
I can easily switch back into scientific mode when I need to while simultaneously exploring the unknown in the pursuit of greater meaning.
You don't like the fact that it's been unable to demonstrate any meaning to life.
This is untrue. IÂ’v never put hope in scientific truth to fulfill my desire for meaning.
You are free to make a final judgment and conclude that human existence has no fulfillment, but continuing to insist that people use scientific truth for something that doesnÂ’t apply to it is ridiculous.
Truth and reality go beyond the scientific domain, which cannot be proven scientifically by definition.
Consider the seminal points in psychology: 1. no one is coming to save you ... and 2. the phenomenon of "splitting," dividing things into "all good and all bad," is a universal childish defense mechanism ... and 3. parental religions come from the epidemic of abandonment issues in children ... and 4. these supernatural religious ideas emanate from a highly superstitious and ignorant pre-science era ............ and it just is what it is. Fiction.
The central existential question can be stated as:
How much are you willing to expose humanity to suffering and death before you decide to remember who you really are?
Which wins out - love for humanity or the fear of identity crisis?

Science is merely the best known models that explain our observations of the world.
Truth is what corresponds to the world. If you can’t observe it you don’t know if it’s true. What do you observe that demonstrates life has meaning?
i wrote need but noone needs to do anything. its MAY believe not need to believe.
need is forcing. may is choice. God giving you permission to believe in him. you may decide you want what God is going to give you. or you may not want it and decline.
No one chooses their beliefs. You either believe or don’t believe. Your hod concept is so weak it can’t provide reasonable evidence it exists.
Nope. Sins are a made up disease so Christianity can sell a fake cure. Proof is that the Bible doesn’t even define what sins are.
Even thinking that your good because you donate to charity is sin which what freemassory is all partly about? make good men great. another lie only Jesus is Good the way they are trying to be good. BTW jeavoah witness mormons were all started by masons. go figure. more false teachings.
Another no true Scotsman fallacy. Every Christian claims to be the only one doing it right, and almost all of them haven’t even read or understood the whole Bible.
Only thing that makes you good is believing that Jesus died for your sins, was buried and he rose on the third day. This is what makes you rightous.
Most evidence suggests that Jesus was executed for his blasphemy and his body dumped into a ditch with other criminals. If this is truly the must important event in human history, it’s an incompetent god who didn’t provide compelling evidence of it to the world. Got any?

This is of course a lie perpetuated by Paul, a misogynistic grifter who gained power in the church by inventing a false story about the Sanhedrin appointing him to persecute Christians, then being converted by a hallucination after he bumped his head on the road to Damascus.
Paul’s teachings violate everything Jesus taught, so why should anyone believe them?
Yes there's other scriptures saying that dont be decieved that drunks will not inherit the kingdom of God but that applies to UNBEILieving Drunks.
So you don’t believe all the parts of the Bible that rebut your own dogma?
the scirtpures also says YOU SHOULD walk in good works. Notice here it says SHOULD. Not must. this means christians should give to charity not must give to charity to go to heaven. Jesus said it’s not faith, that you have to follow the laws of Moses to get into heaven. What leads you to instead accept contradictory claims by those who followed Jesus and weren’t divine?

The Bible clearly contains many contradictions and untruths, so how does it rebut Science, the most accurate models to explain actual observations of our world?

Again why should anyone believe anything Paul wrote when he made up the new covenant nonsense claiming we don’t have to obey the laws of Moses despite Jesus clearly stating the laws of Moses are in effect forever?
Any of the 1.3 billion Catholics who take a look at the history of the Papacy would be forced to just admit it's a fraud, or close their mind completely to reality.
As for the new one:
Will he use the massive resources of the church to end poverty? (No)
Will he attack and criminalize child sexual abuse within the church? (No. Come on. We have a religion to run here.)
Exploitation of the masses superstitious fear of damnation for lewd, cynical financial gain is the game. And it works like all the religions and cults work.
I’m going to lead humanity to greatness through the Christian story and there’s nothing you lowlife anti-Christians can do about it except watch and pout.
Again why should anyone believe anything Paul wrote when he made up the new covenant nonsense claiming we don't have to obey the laws of Moses despite Jesus clearly stating the laws of Moses are in effect forever
But you didn't choose to believe what you just wrote, right?
And I didn't choose to disagree with what you wrote, right?
So, this conversation is obviously pointless given your presupposition that we don't choose our beliefs.
I have been convinced by evidence and logic. I didn’t become convinced through indoctrination, like a religious person.
Either way, people become convinced to believe things through various mechanisms, none of which is choosing them. If you are committed Christian, ask yourself if you can just choose to genuinely believe in Allah.

What a unique diversion to avoid the confronting the biblical fact that Paul contradicts the teachings of Jesus at every turn, and that Jesus says we must follow the laws of Moses forever.
The fact we don’t choose our beliefs doesn’t in any way mean that our beliefs can’t be changed. Our beliefs change when presented with new evidence or argument we find compelling. You innately understand this, which is why you are afraid to address contradictions between Paul and Jesus, because you know it will weaken your faith.
I’m going to lead humanity to greatness through the Christian story and there’s nothing you lowlife anti-Christians can do about it except watch and pout.
Ask yourself how when your Christian philosophical psychobabble has failed repeatedly on this forum.
You’ve repeatedly failed to demonstrate any compelling evidence or argument for belief in your God, when asked for it you instead attack beliefs of others, or say “Nuh huh”, and go on to make even more claims you can’t provide support for.
If your God really existed and wanted everyone to believe, why wouldn’t they provide you with actual evidence and better arguments that would actually convince people. I would love to be reunited with my loved ones in heaven, give me a reason to believe and save my soul.
And what greatness lies ahead for humanity from a religion that claims its god will torture you forever simply for not worshipping its fragile ego, that sacrificed itself to itself to serve as a loophole for awful punishment it decided for violating rules it made up?
And how does enforcing the laws of Moses so women are treated as property, slavery is allowed, and innocent virgins and gay people are stoned to death make us “great”?
I’m going to lead humanity to greatness through the Christian story and there’s nothing you lowlife anti-Christians can do about it except watch and pout.
Well, you know, I was a bit provocatively and facetiously calling this dude Koresh1120 ... but it was a little more literal than I presumed it looks like.
#metoo
(Among other things.)
I didn't become convinced through indoctrination, like a religious person.
I certainly wasn't convinced through "indoctrination." I became a Christian at age 30, after teaching philosophy for five years.
Either way, people become convinced to believe things through various mechanisms,
I agree.
none of which is choosing them. If you are committed Christian, ask yourself if you can just choose to genuinely believe in Allah.
Well, there have been committed Christians who have become Atheists, Muslims and New Agers. And vice-versa.
What a unique diversion to avoid the confronting the biblical fact that Paul contradicts the teachings of Jesus at every turn, and that Jesus says we must follow the laws of Moses forever.
Not going to respond to your claims unless you provide specific statements (chapter and verse) where Paul contradicts Jesus. Let alone "at every turn."

I'm not "afraid" to address them, since -unless I missed them- you didn't provide any specific examples.
