Oh so now we’re taking medical advice πŸ™„

1. Important to include a boilerplate disclaimer for legal reasons.

2. Quitting psych meds "cold turkey" can cause more harm to the individual than the drugs themselves cause.

Buddy, I don't know if you are new here or what, but if you EVER find yourself agreeing with BJ, even a little, it's time to stop and reassess.

And that's for sure true, here. You are literally agreeing with him that you are moron if you follow the advice of a doctor of medicine about when to take medicine. I mean, literally what are you thinking?

My own personal unfortunate experience with the Pharmecutical-Industrial Complex no doubt colors my judgement on certain things like vaccines.

I myself did get the COVID vaccine in 2021. (So I'm also a dum-dum.)

Medical science is far bigger than this personal experience. Keep that in mind.

You're smarter than BJ. I mean it when I tell you if you agree with him, it's time to reassess. Every single time.

If you're coming to Orange County, shoot me a PM!

Will do. I'm in San Diego county but make my way north from time to time.

And likewise should you have reason to venture my way.

So yeah I never got the COVID vaccine.

I probably got COVID twice. Never tested positive but my roommate did and I was sick before her. But it lasted for basically a few hours like all flus do then a lingering cough.

The second time I don't even remember it was so insignificant but my roommate tested positive again.

Those might have been the last times I had anything like the flu. I rarely get sick. Had near perfect attendance in school. Have never missed a day of work due to illness in my entire life.

If it lasted for just a couple hours you probably didn't have Covid.

The Lord works in mysterious ways which our limited minds aren't always able to comprehend.

I was gonna say the same thing but I meant it as a joke. I assume you are joking?

Why is everything with "God" so cryptic?

As long as it's in one of the few parts of the country he's not afraid to go to, and definitely not after dark. If these conditions are met, Alpha Mongi's your guy, as long as his mum's there for support.

I think staying out of impoverished neighborhoods is a wise choice. Unfortunately for folks in the UK it's not so easy anymore.

If you folks wanna keep looking for trouble be my guest.

Fascinating how you seem to know more about the UK than the people who live here. Have you ever been?

by chillrob m

Still seems unlikely to me, but if it turns out to be true in most countries then I'll believe it.

I'm crossing my fingers, as this would be a great side benefit, and even more reason to encourage the vaccine. I'm in favor of the loss of fertility of as many people as possible.

Well, there are some who say the vax is an intentional depopulation bioweapon so you might get your wish. Time will tell.

I sometimes venture to Oceanside (which is where I grew up).

Will PM you next time I plan to go there.

Between the ages of 11 and 60, I almost never got sick.

I was absent for only two days total in High School. They were consecutives days in my freshman year.

Right after I turned 60, I started getting sick on a regular basis for some reason. (I'm 67 now.)

Yes. 2007. This was before the migrant problem.

another smart dude that i'm guessing didn't get the vax is RFK Jr.

Since RFK Jr. just a few days ago said that the MMR vaccine contains “aborted fetus debris", I'm going to say he doesn't qualify.

Edit: He also seems to be doubting germ theory. Welcome back to the 19th century folks! When America was great, but the doctors killed more than they saved.

Cool..yes please do.

I was playing poker at Oceans 11 but had to stop because every time I took my dog to the doggy day care in Oceanside she would get really sick. We figured out that it was just stress induced but it hasn't seemed worth it to try it again despite final tabling in 2/3 tourneys i played there. She's a little older now so I probably should try it again.

Sarcasm, not exactly a joke. But that is the standard thing that people of faith always claim when bad things happen to good people. It's never held water with me.

by mongidig m

No I definitely did.

I had to work because it was an essential function and two of the people who would have normally been reasonable for its mother's died on the same night.

And I just curled up on a couch with my down hoodie on because I had the chills. And then it was over.

You have had a dog for quite awhile? Last I knew you were in a different country every 6 months or so. Didn't know you had settled back down in the states.

She's a puppy. She just turned 1 year I got her at 12 or 13 weeks at the end of July last year.

I've been back in the US since April of last year working. When I took the job I committed to 2 years but really I'm ready to go now the issue is that every paycheck pays for like 6 months of living outside the country and so I can keep holding out a little longer.

And where I am now is also hands down the nicest part of the US I've ever lived so it's not all horrible and I even bought some eggs again today.

That's probably still true though.

I lived in Carlsbad for a year and a half. It is a very nice area, but I didn't feel I fit in to the vibe. I'm probably not chill enough.

by mongidig m

Yes. 2007. This was before the migrant problem.

A lot of folks aren't happy that England is becoming a Muslim country. Would have happened many centuries earlier had it not been for the so-called Crusades

by geezerchess m

Important to include a boilerplate disclaimer for legal reasons.

Do you think you can be held legally responsible if some idiot takes another idiot’s internet advice?

I lived in Carlsbad with my parents between 1975 and 1978. It was a relatively small city in those days. We lived in one of nicest parts of town in the hills. It was nicknamed "Pill Hill" because a lot of doctors lived up there. (My Dad was an Electrical Engineer.)

by Crossnerd m

Do you think you can be held legally responsible if some idiot takes another idiot’s internet advice?

No, I don't think that's likely at all.

Then again, there are a lot of litigious folks out there.

I am now absolved of any and all moral, legal and fiduciary responsibility. πŸ˜€
