Looks like Erick Lindgren will be playing the million dollar game
Hopefully he can win like 20 milly and pay everyone back.
Even 2007 me wouldn't care, what a huge get for HCL.
Oh my, what a field he beat too... Rampage, 3Coin, Mikki Mase, Peter's GF. Elite
Erick now has the potential to be the first player in history to stack everyone in a million dollar buy-in game and walk away from the table broke.
Wow he's still alive! Wonder who's backing him this time
Rumor is he told Feldman yesterday that he now wants a seat in the million dollar buy in cash game after he won a million dollars in the donkament last night.
Of course, he ran like a luckbox last night highlighted by Peter’s girlfriend shoving about 100BBs with top-top after the flop when Lindgren flopped a set.
These cash game donkeys have no clue how to play deep-stack tournaments..

What do you mean , that was literally what the tournament was for ?
lol
he never payed back 12million ...
If he sits there and folds all night, he gets to pick up whatever's left in the stack and cash it in?

I believe so? By my estimates he would lose about $60,000 by folding every hand. I'm not sure if Erick was backed for this tournament, but he obviously doesnt seem to be THAT wealthy. If its me, im folding every hand but aces or kings, and even those hands im playing passively, and leaving as a huge winner.

He won like a 50 man satellite he doesnβt need to be backed, he is free rolling basically
I look forward to this 2000 era boomer who was already boring at cash back then coming in today massively over his head and VPIPing 5%. It actually is a bit of an interesting dynamic because you can call his preflop raises with anything and put an ungodly amount of pressure on him post being this deep. Hes probably going to end up being one of those "limp along with AQ AK" type giga scared players.
Heres my prediction. Eric gets outclassed by everyone at the table. Starts out mega tight and gets bluffed out of the majority of hands he plays. Plays even tighter and limps home with 700k of the initial milli.

I mean that's what I'd do if I had a million from 25k and a seat in this game.

This is a fallacy.
It's still a million and by playing super tight he can still leave with basically everything.
If you aren't worth much, you're grinding small events etc and get this opportunity you're a moron if you look at it as a free roll and yolo it.

Whatever he does win, he will probally lose it at the pits or at the sportsbook before he leaves the casino, degens gonna degen.
Lindgren is a massive degen and degens never stop being degens.
This is his one chance to make massive gamble.
Its also fitting that one of the biggest hustlers of all time wins the satellite for Hustlers million dollar cash game.

This is correct, heβs not going to nit it up
Could be plot for Rounders 2 almost. Nit it up and pay Petrosky back and others he owes
Or go big, think he goes big

Yeah besides the owner of doordash( who makes people work for slave wages and abuses them every chance he gets), all the characters are shady/scummy and no one really knows how they have millions to gamble with. Lingdren will fit right in. I mean last year who had Tomas who is Eric Lingren on Steroids.
he should be able to calculate the total time of the game and hands played and how much he'll lose and just not play. 25k to 900+k seems like an auto not play.
the problem is if the game gets short handed late, is he required to sit in a bad lineup? like 5 handed w Keating and Texas Mike while being freerolled and trying to survive is awful awful and the hands would go way up.
