I look forward to this 2000 era boomer who was already boring at cash back then coming in today massively over his head and VPIPing 5%. It actually is a bit of an interesting dynamic because you can call his preflop raises with anything and put an ungodly amount of pressure on him post being this deep. Hes probably going to end up being one of those "limp along with AQ AK" type

He's generation X

by prizminferno

he should be able to calculate the total time of the game and hands played and how much he'll lose and just not play. 25k to 900+k seems like an auto not play.

the problem is if the game gets short handed late, is he required to sit in a bad lineup? like 5 handed w Keating and Texas Mike while being freerolled and trying to survive is awful awful and the hands would go way up.

He’s required to play 8 hours or until game breaks whichever is first

Lindgren is old school, no way he is just gonna fold like a bitch for 8 hour LOL

7 handed it looks like... 30 hands an hour... 3.5k an orbit, 14-15k an hour? 8 hours of sitting out he would leave with well over 800k still.

Interesting spot. That million is probably super important to him with all his debts. Or he could play super aggro and try to win 3 million. Losing that money will be devastating to him id imagine after grinding for a decade.

He was a cash game nit in the 2000s even with the fat monthly fulltilt check and 100k buyin. How many of you even remember him playing cash before?

Typical never bluffs 2006 player.

Yea I don't remember him playing too crazy. Seemed like sports betting was his vice.

He was boring to watch 100 years ago, It's not like he adds anything to the show.

Which is the absolute perfect style to play in this type of lineup. If he gets hit with the deck and is willing to gamble I could see him increasing his stack to $3MM + , but im guessing he nits it up and I cant say id blame him. It would be epic though.

Well except for the fact everyone is debating how he’s going to play.

Kind of crazy that in 2025 they can’t find 8 people between LA and Vegas who want to pony up 1mil to play poker.

He can just sell a bunch of action, right? The rest of the line-up are all whales, so regardless of what you think of Erick Lindgren's game, he is clearly a big favorite to win. If he sells action, he can lock up a profit and still try to win more by playing solidly in a splashy game.

Has it been confirmed they can’t?

I don’t know about anyone else but if not for EL I might not check this out at all, but plan on watching some later to see how he’s doing.

Satellite winner adds a dynamic.

You know I might be being too hard on him when I dont even know the lineup. If theres no one playing who raises the limpers its gonna be playing like 2006. 😂

I'm guessing there are a lot of "boring" pros who would play in this lineup but arent invited. Also, there are more people who want to play in million dollar cash games, they just dont want it to be recorded. Think about wealthy businessmen , politicians etc.. who may not want their name associated with "gambling", also others who dont want their hole cards and playing style recorded for everyone to see for 8 hrs.

What is there to debate? He is gonna nit it up like he always did.

He already paid off 125 otr on hand 2. Immediately buried to what he could have walked with if he just didn't play any hands. No reloads is gonna be tough to play in this game.

Well he’s already down 150K

Usually these shows are just a bunch of fearless gunslingers but good TV has a mix of characters

What's the current line on Peter hit and running for 7 figures again? -1000?

Narrator: *He should have folded every hand*

I wonder what authority (if any) exists to keep him there for eight hours before cashing out.

That was probably just a bluff. A 20% pot continuation bet.

I was gonna say the exact same thing.
Tons of losing players have no desire to play on stream.
