Lmao @ thinking I'm a gto bro.I make plenty of exploitable folds. But OMC is just always overfolding. When you fold way too much sometimes you're right. It's just the other end of the pay off wizards who hero calls all the time with garbage. Sometimes he's gonna win and think he's a genius.I've said many times in other threads gto is pretty suboptimal for any live cash game actu

Just got home from a 11 hour session, but wanted to chime in on this.

Borg is absolutely spot on. This isnt about blindly following GTO or any of that sort of stuff. Its about the fact that most OMC or supernitty regs massively overfolds in nearly all nodes of the gametree, only to pat themself on the back when they do make the correct fold once in a while and it feels good. These players live for these kind of things, "yeah i knew he had the nutz so i had to fold AK there". And then the times he is up against a boat, the confirmation bias kicks in at full. "Yup, was totally correct folding AK in that spot-knew he had 66 for sure!". While he forgets all the times the fold is wrong, folded the best hand and he is torching money.

I can guarantee that any big winner in the games or any crusher is not losing any sleep over stacking off with AK in that spot unless super deep stacks and the ranges shrinks when all the money goes in. The only players that is concerned with folding AK on AA6 board for like 100-200bb stacks is scared money nits that is either a very small winner in the games, or breakeven.

Trooper could save a few dollars and get the equivalent of a two serving plate by going to Panda Express by Harrah's and ordering a large side of Orange Chicken. Then he can do a collaboration video with ELD and give half the large side of Orange Chicken to ELD and ELD could fill up the remaining space in the box with rice. Of course Trooper should also bring numerous free hot mustard packets and fortune cookies as well.

Obviously not every day.

Before diesel put his monthly cost behind a paywall, he gave us his housing costs. It ranged between 500 to 1200 a month. I would say 700 is his average. His housing is not 100% comped, bob. 3 dollars a day would send him permanently to his parent's basement.

facts.

Trooper only has himself to blame for his lack of success.

He doesn’t need people to blow up his spots. He’s quite skilled at doing that without any outside help. It’s his only real skill, but it counts.

In terms of the Venetian, Trooper’s former podcast sidekick Clubs is a dealer there, so this possibly also played a role in the upcoming meetup. I’d imagine Clubs will likely deal to the meetup group based on his celebrity status.

Boski, one of the few Vloggers I still watch, had quad 6s in his latest vlog.

That 3 dollars a day isn't inclusive of the money he grinds from various promos. Also don't forget his monthly YouTube revenue. Ditto for his dividend stocks but we know he reinvests 100% of that back into his portfolio lol.

So all up he might make about 1k per month, no where near enough even for a tight-ass like Rice. Hence why he had to start dealing in the summer. I imagine that wont be enough in the future either so he will have to start dealing more and more months in the year just to stay afloat. But he will still claim that he's immune to inflation!

Ive gone to venetian to play poker maybe like 3 times in the new room, ive seen one of the guys from trooper thursday group there every time. Plus venetian is doing anything they can. Good move by trooper, i cant imagine theres a large turn out, trooper is a very angry person and not the typical fake friendly type that makes up meet up games, which i do respect. If they get

Maybe they'll come to see Joey Ingram. I don't know who that is but I've seen his name a lot.

I'm way to sticky to overfold Aces in that spot. if he's got you with 6's, that just the way it goes... reload and move on.

I was playing 5/10 with a Russian girl the other day and I saw her fold QQ on a river all in on a KQ5,7,7 Board... and she was right. I am just never making a fold in the spot in a cash game even if I think there is a 1 in 100 chance villain has KK.

Don’t give the Trooper too much credit or now believe that he’s some super savvy networking businessman either. The answer is actually quite simple really. Joey Ingram is the savvy networking businessman. He has already mentioned on a recent podcasts and while broadcasting during Venetian Poker Live that he has a current contractual partnership with Venetian. So he clearly

If Ingram is such a shrewd businessman, why did he bring in Trooper as headliner instead of someone with a bigger following?

There is probably currency hanging hands... think of it as 'buying clicks' or paying for an endorsement.

I don’t think he’s doing it for any monetary gain but more like offering a friendly favor / helping hand to someone that he has said himself is the OG vlogger (despite being a LOLcow to many people).

Ingram is the type of the guy that likes to be neutral and diplomatic with everyone while having few enemies that keeps his deep network very robust. That’s one of the main draws he brings to partnering up with Venetian is his access to wide variety of characters in the poker industry. I believe he’s just doing Trooper a solid after noticing that he returned to poker on the Strip by offering him the best type of opportunity that is available in the near timeline. As previously mentioned, the room will still be plenty busy everyday regardless if majority there are even aware of the meet up game running.

So overall, not much to lose for all parties involved and plenty to gain especially for Trooper. If it totally crashes and burns then oh well guess it will be the first and last meetup game for him at the new Venetian room.

Can one get a legit non-disgusting place to live in Vegas for a thousand? If you can, Diesel is missing a bet. He could cook in an actual kitchen, and prep decent eats for cheap to take with him. He could leave it in the car, relive the good ole days on a break, with a hood meal.

I can pretty much assure everyone that this meetup game will be a 'one and done' meetup game for the Trooper at the Venetian.

For $1,000 Diesel's Nomadic vehicle will probably be burglarized in East Las Vegas and North Las Vegas. He is much safer to live Nomadically in a secure casino parking garage with cameras and security on bikes to keep criminals out and drug users out of the parking garage.

ELD is too highly educated to fit in a neighborhood of economically depressed people with most of them don't even have a GED. Hilarity will ensue every time ELD corrects someone in the neighborhood on his grammar.

You believe OMC actually had the read?

I don’t know how to post a screenshot but if anyone is in the market for used candy making equipment at about a 15-20% discount, Trooper is your guy. Ya they lost so much money on this candy business. Lit infinite dollars on fire. From Trooper’s FacebookEquipment for sale used for 6 monthsFalcon AHP-2, 2 burner gas stove $380Table top scale $125Floor scale $240Marte

by Alpha Fish

it's way over if you count permits installation ingredients utility bills etcjust the equipment he posted for sale is over $30K assuming 25% discount, we're looking at $70K absolute minimum including the lease and that's with the very generous assumption that it didn't cost them anything to break itif I had to guess, they are still paying it while most of the stuff they are sel

Wow. He and Lady Trooper definitely took a gamble and decided to go all-in on this. Lady Trooper keeps proving her loyalty by sticking with him when he wants to do something.

I wonder how many of the troops would be interested in helping out in this situation. Sometimes people feel satisfied buying stuff from YouTubers because they love the channel and want to help out. If any fans are really serious about helping out, here’s their chance.

The thing is, to any normal person, they don't need 5 minutes to decide or plan that weekend and evening games are more profitable.

I've been thinking about the potential for my comps in my upcoming trip. seems like the only sensible choice at Bellagio is the buffet. not buying an $18 hot dog or gelato

Fwiw the hot dog comes with fries and it’s not a plain, average size hot dog.

But yeah still not a great deal, although everything is overpriced on the Strip.

by iwasbanned

In today's youtube vlog, Rice played 6 hours and 3 minutes of poker at the MGM and profited $3.

Dealing can't come fast enough for Rice.

Old Man Coffee includes comps in his win totals so if we use that reasoning here (we shouldn’t), the profit was a much larger percentage at $15 total.

But I wonder how many players do that with their results.

by topg2024

I used a lot of Mirage comps at Mirage Snacks which was basically the same as Bellagio Snacks the $18 hot dog was very high quality and even came with sauerkraut. Just add some relish and mustard packets. This was back during the initial Mirage tier match which gave $200 in comps after the tier match.

Yeah the one at Bellagio exceeded my expectations. When used with comps it wasn’t as bad of a deal as I expected it to be.

Man, Trooper really had no problem spending Lady Trooper's money at all.

Pretty sad to see how LT had a nice little side hustle making lollipops that probably made a few hundred dollars a week or month, but after Trooper butt in they lost well into 5 figures, wiping out everything Sparklii Sweets ever made.

OMC check folds the turn here as he puts opponent on 6's full, plus his rule is that if he feels he's behind, he must have 8 outs to draw minimum to call, this did not qualify. Turns out he was right.

When I was watching this I was thinking he's going to fold THAT? Call!! Turns out OMC was right (results oriented yada yada).

Trooper gets his AA cracked (no promo) and doesn't miss a beat in whatever stupid story he is telling.

It felt like he was trying too hard to look like he didn't care.

Let's just hope Trooper doesn't end up losing more than what he makes from the meetup game.

The players at Venetian and who follow Ingram are certainly going to be tougher than the clowns at Westgate.

by GGecko

Joey Ingram has said himself (that Trooper)is the OG vlogger, (despite being a LOLcow to many people).

I will grant you Trooper is an 'OG Vlogger', or an 'OG Las Vegas Vlogger', or even an 'OG Lifestyle Vlogger' but I would never say Trooper is a 'Poker Vlogger'.
Trooper has called himself a 'lifestyle vlogger' in the past, and while that is a stretch, it is far more accurate than calling himself a 'Poker Vlogger'.
Trooper is like many of the other pigeons in Las Vegas running around with a camera.
And if anyone here calls Rice a 'poker vlogger', you're dead to me.
Rice to me is a cheapskate 'homeless vlogger'.

Agree. One of the most delusional things rice says is that his videos document the life of a professional poker player when actually they document the life of a vagrant who sits at poker tables to get a roof over his head for the night. No other professional poker players live like that
