Ukraine-Russia War Take 2
Here is what the preliminary take on the Ukraine thread disappearing is:

So just totally get rid of people who aren't drunk on propaganda, on fairy tales about the evil Putin and his evil bad country? That would pretty much take out anybody who has common sense and any level of immunity to manipulation by war profiteers. An implication of what you are saying here is let's not just put existential dread in a country that could destroy us, and would d
How many countries u believe Russia is right to invade Ukraine ?
That believe no one should intervene and let Putin takes Ukraine in it’s entirety ?
The U.S. are as powerful as the Sith Lord Palestine ….
Btw let’s say Putin wins and gains Ukraine .
What’s next ?
Is Putin going to invade because the new « Russia » (including Ukraine) has even more unacceptable neighbours bordering its frontiers being armed and having alliances with NATO ?
Nobody was ever arguing if it was a good decision for Russia to invade. People were talking about how it was obvious by that point that they would. You were too infected with with propaganda to see the plain truth.
I came out with a prediction that was against the consensus of the mainstream but in line with those who have steadily made better predictions on the general topic. Their analysis was not propaganda. It wasn't aimed at emotions, spun into some bs narrative and intended to sway mass opinion. It happened to be wrong, in part because few thought it would be a good decision and Russia, in this era, makes good calculations on strategy. I don't know why you regard this as the moment predator blood was found on some leaves. You're focused in on one wrong prediction like "if it bleeds we can kill it".
Prediction is very difficult. There were many such scares as Russia often bluffed in such a way. Finally, the Russia paranoids were right. But we didn't have all the information of what was happening preceding that whereas some people in DC did.
How many countries u believe Russia is right to invade Ukraine ?
That believe no one should intervene and let Putin takes Ukraine in itÂ’s entirety ?
Ukraine is unique situation with a unique relationship with Russia. But, again, it really isn't about what I think. It's about what Russia thinks. Russia has its reasons. It knows why it has said, for decades, that NATO encroachment into Ukraine is an existential issue. It clearly has to do with security concerns but beyond that I would be speculating. It seems perfectly reasonable for Russia to demand Ukraine be a neutral, non NATO country.
I might be more sympathetic to the idea that Ukraine gets to do whatever it wants, including hosting a military alliance dedicated to threatening Russia, IF it came to that conclusion on its own. But it didn't. It came to that by way of foreign interference. There was a coup directed by the NATO leader. Therefore the "decision" to partner with NATO isn't connected to any democratic process and does not reflect the sovereign choice of Ukrainians. It instead represents the preference of NATO thugs and neo Nazi thugs they partnered with in Ukraine to institute the coup.
You don't even discuss the context on the invasion because the second you do you instantly lose all credibility.
Btw letÂ’s say Putin wins and gains Ukraine .

They don't really "gain Ukraine". They don't even have the forces to institute a total occupation. They are just forcing Ukraine into neutrality wrt NATO and took some ground which is militarily significant. When the entirety of Ukraine gets to vote again, meaning all the citizens of Ukraine, meaning all the ethnic Russians who Ukraine has denied political rights, there will be a government which is not hostile to Russia. What means will Russia undertake to maintain this situation? I would only be speculating.
It's funny I happen to know quite a few people who are just flat out smarter than me. Like they would beat me in an IQ test and they have the resumes and accomplishments reflecting that. But I couldn't convince any of these people that the Eagles were very likely to blowout the Chiefs (some of these people are in fantasy leagues with me, have legit data analysis skills, and follow the NFL) and I can't convince them that Russia is not, in any world we live in, going to invade Poland next. Russia invaded Ukraine in response to set of circumstances engineered by the U.S., a very unique set of circumstances developing over many years which, for decades, Russia stated publicly was a red line over which they would go to war. There is absolutely no reason to think they are going to do something so insane and lethal to their existence as invade Europe.
The real upshot is not some nonsensical regression to 20th century European wars (which is impossible in the nuclear age pretty much anyway). It's stupid to even think so. What's actually going to happen are the consequences of Russia being forced into strengthening the coalition countering U.S. hegemony. They are getting closer to China and are strengthening alliances in BRICS which will eventually lead to a sharp decrease in U.S. control in many geopolitical dimensions.
That's not at all what you were saying about the prediction before it was wrong. It was actually so easy back then you were willing to insult anybody you disagreed. If you adopted your present tone then, you wouldn't be so hard to take seriously.
People here think Russia is going to invade the Ukraine? No, they are not. And Trump isn't going to be arrested, nor is he going to be somehow legally prevented from running for president again.
It's Russiagate. They got you guys on that and now they just know they can string you along with anything. You're like a bunch of kittens, those who believe a word out of Adam Schiff's mouth.
Pretty much the opposite of "Prediction is difficult, so I can see why others might think something else will happen!"

It wasn't "your" prediction. As you point out you were parroting sources you consider non emotive propaganda but they obviously mislead you to this day. From 9/11 to Ukraine you have incredible difficulty putting aside emotive hyperbole, and that's why I don't think I could ever teach you something non trivial and why your analysis on all subjects is so shallow.
So Putin has made it abundantly clear he isn't interested in any kind of ceasefire or peace. With China, NK and Iran feeding the war machine with material; and plenty of Russian, Chinese and NK troops to use as cannon fodder, he seems perfectly content with the status quo.
So either the West has to accept this is the status quo, or they are going to have to take stronger actions to make the status quo unnaceptable to Putin and his Chinese backers. What the West needs to do is get more serious about sanctions of Russia and China. Which is hard given our complete reliance on Chinese manufacturing.

Is China actually doing that? last I checked since very early on in the war Biden targeted Chinese financial institutions credibly to avoid any trade of military equipment with Russia threatening the actual nuclear option (being cutoff from all dollar transactions) , and afaik Trump didn't change that.
i mean I suppose Chinese smugglers could be supplying small quantities of whatever military related stuff, but is that happening at scale? hard to believe they can with no bank able to participate.
those were actually the only proper , strong enough sanctions put in place

It is perhaps true I acquired some level of arrogance after being right about so many predictions. I don't think many are immune to that. It was a reminder to be more humble and that there is always unknown information affecting outcomes. We simply didn't know about the intense escalation of the shelling of the Donbas which precipitated the Russians invading. That little tidbit was suppressed information and was very likely critical to Russia's decision to invade at that time as it was the ultimate mask off moment for Ukraine and its conspirators.

I wouldn't say parroting. Some of those same people predicted a quick Russian victory and I didn't agree with that simply based on the size of the Ukrainian military and the NATO support and guidance. Few Russian experts are also necessarily military experts, and even military experts suck at predicting wars. I can't recall ever seeing a predicted quick military victory actually be such.
I'm one of the few teachable people you will come across. I'm just not what I would call "highly suggestible". My analysis is not shallow. That's why I am good at making predictions and then rest of you are terrible. You're saying that my analysis is shallow is evocative of the phrase "quick military victory" I just referenced, like something said with a hope which betrays an underlying counter truth in the subconscious. Sorry, but I'm right and the highly paid, highly polished people on your TV screen are wrong.

No. Russia is not ok with the status quo. They want to change the status via a military victory and that is what they are achieving. It's the West who is happy with the status quo, Russian troops dying and Russia expending resources.
Russia wants peace on its terms and when they win the war, when Ukraine gives up and comes to the table with something realistic, Russia will have peace on the terms it can accept. Talk about giving back Crimea is what is prolonging the war. Crimea is not ever going back into Ukrainian control. We would all be dead before that happens. Zelensky is acting like Ukraine is in a position to make demands when it is clearly losing the war. That is beyond irresponsible. It's like Russia has Ukraine in an arm bar but it's on Zelensky to tap out and he's like "but guess what I've got two arms tho".

That is not a good analysis IMO. In truth it seems Trump hoped if he offered Russia favorable terms, then Russia would say ok and he could strong-arm Ukraine into accepting. But it is apparent Russia (Putin) does not actually want peace at all. He is perfectly content with the status quo of slowly grinding down Ukraine and the Russian/NK casualties being taken in the process are acceptable to him too.
The only way to force peace at this point is to change the status quo, by arming Ukraine better and/or tightening up sanctions on Russia. And by his current rhetoric it seems Trump realizes this and is taking steps in this direction. It is actually Europe that would have to get on board though. For all their rhetoric, they are still buying massive amounts of Russian fossil fuel, and to put real pressure on Putin they would need to stop doing this, and it would definitely cause hardship on their end.
Wan interesting ting to me at least :
Conclusion was funny 😀.
there's not going to be a deal. want russia demands is still unacceptable to everyone else
some small chance of a ceasefire of some kind but i doubt that too
not very surprisingly the americans are realising this too
“The Russians are asking for a certain set of requirements, a certain set of concessions in order to end the conflict. We think they’re asking for too much,” Vance said.
The vice president was channeling growing impatience in the White House with Putin. Late last month President Donald Trump said Putin may just be “tapping me along” and suggested he may employ sanctions to change the dynamic.
“Maybe he doesn’t want to stop the war,” Trump said of Putin on his Truth Social platform in April. The post came after Trump met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Rome.
US neo-Nazi terrorist group "The Base" last month called for targeted assassinations and terrorist attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure.
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...
Leader of The Base, Rinaldo Nazzaro, has for a long time been living in Russia and is an avid supporter of Vladimir Putin.
The Base is rather infamous in the US for advocating for the white ethnostate through terrorist acts, primarily because of their targeted recruitment efforts for people willing to carry out terrorist attacks and also recruitment of people with valuable training / background. One such case that recently was the news was the recruitment of an active duty serviceman.
With US military under Hegseth in practice no longer screening for right wing extremist beliefs, and US law enforcement / intelligence scaling back efforts to monitor them, it will likely be rarer to catch these people in the future before it is too late.
In their ongoing quest to de-Nazify Ukraine and protect humanity from fascism, Russia has handed activist Darya Kozyreve a 3-year prison sentence for reciting poetry.
https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/rus...
Of course, this is not the first time Russia protects the world from harmful articulation designed to poison our souls. In 2023, they jailed poet Artyom Kamardin for 7-years for the crime of reciting his verses. Avid supporters of Russia's quest to better humanity will also be glad that he was raped by the police.

Though, nobody should say that Russia is without mercy. Another poet was also arrested at that event, but Yegor Shtovba only received 5 and half years, as he was just attending.
So it appears Trump wasn't really paying attention to what is going on in Russia/Ukraine since he left office 5 years ago, and is now belatedly coming to understand it is actually Russia (Putin) that invaded Ukraine, has been attacking them for 3 years, and is the problem.

This reminds me of when Hillary Clinton's camp came out with the "Trump is a Russian puppet" when, in fact, she was way more in bed with them. I'm not saying the Clintons were puppets of Russia, but the case that they were is 1000 times stronger that the case against Trump. And we know the Clinton camp was worried that Trump was going to use this against them so they dediced to create this story about Trump out of thin air. This has become a standard PR tactic where you take what is bad about you and make false claims applying it to your adversary. It's effective because it muddies the issue while taking focus away from your transgressions.
Why now though? Is Trump weaponizing the truth and using the nazi card against Ukraine? Why did tame_deuces get the activation signal on this topic?
Just read 5 mins on Svoboda you will see where the neo Nazis are in this conflict. There is a reason neo nazis in the U.S. have gone to Ukraine to fight in the war. It's because they want to join other neo nazis who have the military backing of the U.S. It's like a dream come true for them. And when they get killed it's like a dream come true for me. I just hope Russia doesn't stop short and play nice when it comes to Svoboda and Azov. I hope they execute every last one of them.
