Without going into specifics, it was among the worst, most extreme CP imaginable. 12 years was way too light for him.

Has to be subscribed threads , as I only post on politics and occasionally in the Lounge, and I doubt I'm more active than the likes of victor and suspect a glitch. My profile says I do 1.97 posts per day, whereas vic does 9.87 per day, so again I reckon a glitch.

I mean, I'd like nothing better than to ignore Trump completely, as the man is very, very stupid. You're better off intellectually listening to an average drunk's ramblings.

Unfortunately, he is the president of a very powerful nation and his actions, regardless of how absurd they might be, have impact and matter both to Americans and foreigners like me. He also always makes himself the center of attention, and thus can't always be ignored by someone who cares about diplomacy or politics. In addition to being stupid, he is also corrupt, a criminal, a serial liar and has no integrity, which tends to make events he involved in chaotic and corrupt.

But I would actually agree that 99% of the time he can be ignored. The vast majority of articles and social media posts about Trump is just useless noise that seeks to capitalize on his fame and notoriety, and in today's digital eco-system based on monetizing engagement, the unfortunate fact is that reading and watching these things is in effect a support of the man and the intellectually bankrupt ideology he leads.

That's not what happened at all. Trump proposed 100% tariffs on the McDonald Islands, and then the penguins threatened to raise the price of their eggs. Trump instituted a 365-day pause on those tariffs in response. It's all basic Art of the Deal stuff, brilliant maneuvering.

So now America has moved to the next phase of fascism, where it's arresting judges.

FYI. She's accused of misdirecting, and misleading ICE agents. What actually happened, at least according to the chief judge was that the ICE agents were told to wait until the court hearing had concluded. This is meant to intimidate the JUDICIARY. That's the only intent here. So don't get confused people.
