Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
I can recommend Black Bag (2025) especially to anyone that likes spy shows like The Agency. An accomplished CIA agent is tasked to identify a possible mole in the agency. He is surprised to learn that a prime suspect turns out to be his own CIA wife.

The Umbrellas of Cherbourg by Jacques Demy
Got to see this tonight at the local theater in Newport in it's Technicolor 4k restoration. I love this film. I know it's not for everyone.
Simple story of boy loves girl. They want to marry, but he's drafted, and she gets pregnant the last night before he leaves for two years. In the meantime she marries another man. He returns a bitter man, but he eventually finds love and purpose.
The music is by Michel Legrand, and every line of dialogue is sung, but I wouldn't call it a musical. It stars the young, 21 year old, exceedingly beautiful Catherine Deneuve. The music inspired two songs, "Watch What Happens" and "I Will Wait for You."
It's bittersweet, heartbreaking at times, and beautiful to look at. There are a couple moments when Deneuve looks directly into the screen with an expression that's nearly impossible to read.
I love this movie. Even if the ending brings a tear or two to my eyes.

I have left a couple pictures out, but this is a VERY solid list of top tier Artistic work.
I don't see a single weak link and honorably consider every single film important and enriching.
if you're going to pay attention to any 'philosophical' thing in Ghost Dog... pay attention to this:

"Matters of great concern should be treated lightly."

I really enjoyed Strange Darling and found Furiosa pretty entertaining. Gotta say though I found Red Rooms really dull, just didn't work for me.
The Order sounds interesting. You should check out Oliver Stone's Talk Radio (1988) if you haven't seen yet, it's loosely based on Alan Berg himself and well worth seeing, although it concentrates more on Berg himself, with the neo nazis kinda being in the background. Great film though.

I'm confused. How can you see this preview and not run down to the nearest movie theater and demand that they screen it for you?
I haven't seen Ghost Dog since it came out, so 25 years ago. I remember liking it and I also remember thinking it was an accurate represenation of the mob. Meaning a bunch of fat out of shape people trying to score some illgotten gains. although I could be mis rembering that from something else? I also remember the "drainpipe" scene which I thought was awesome and has stuck with me.
Agreed! Only movies I really liked in that mix were Ghost Dog and Stranger Than Paradise.

You didn't find anything redeeming about Jarmusch's Heart of Darkness film?
Pretentious? Because it has a bulldog in it? And a bus driver?
Because they brought back the guy from Mystery Train?

Questionable taste imo
I always thought Jarmusch directed River’s Edge but it was Tim Hunter. I’ll have forgotten that again in six months. Just read that Hunter’s father was Ian McClellan(!) Hunter, who fronted for the blacklisted Dalton Trumbo on Roman Holiday and was later blacklisted himself.
