How good is Maurice Hawkins at tournaments?
He just won his 18th WSOP Circuit ring. Super impressive. But noticed that he doesn't do that well in WSOP and more comp
Idk why four color decks aren’t a thing in live poker
Imagine actively sweating your live outs and not seeing your opponent made a 4 flush. Hawkins is the nut lo of poker:

I know someone who would follow this dealer home if it happened to them.
Let that be a lesson, dealers.
Nobody ever followed Russ Hamilton home, and that was a lot more money than this.
Friday night $100 tournaments in Wendover have more staff around the final table than this “championship” event.
All I can say at age 59 is that’s by far the fastest I’ve ever seen a dealer muck the ‘losing’ hand in an AI showdown, cash or tourney. He also seemed very nervous & agitated in the brief video clip.
But Ive also seen dealers misread boards from straight flushes on down hundreds of times.
Wow that's a fast muck.
His opponent does say "I thought I won" but also says "I didn't see the straight" so it's not like he meant he thought had flush.
Seems to make it more interesting. Since he would have 'protested' before the start of the next hand, the floor should not be simply saying too late. The player actually did try to protect his hand just probably not vigorously enough. But I could certainly see this getting corrected even if the next hand had started.

Yeah he seems to sense something is off but everything happens too quickly for him to fully process. And based on his results, he’s a fairly new and inexperienced young player so defintely not as used to those big spots like Hawkins is. Probably felt too sheepish too speak up more
Cunning move by the dealer, leaving himself an out if caught, the winning hand is technically never mucked….this was not an error.

One magic word is all he needed to use…FLOOR
I'm convinced there is some big time ****ery going on in these WSOP Circuit events. In this case they are obv. taking advantage of an inexperienced final table player. How many other instances of cheating are going on earlier in these tournaments?
WSOP allowed blatant cheating at the final table of the Main Event, what’re you gonna expect?
I read a Poker News article about 10 yrs ago where he said he grinds the WSOPC because he can clear $250k every year for his family
He now sits as the top dog in WSOPC cashes with over $3m over a Million more than the next player, nothing new. gg mh
So over 15 years of grinding the circuit, he's cashed for 3 million. That's 200k/yr in gross cashes.
Last year he had cashes in 9 circuit stops. I pulled up a random circuit stop from last year, that we went to, and there was 7.2k worth of buyins for ring events, not counting senior events.
If we assume he only fires 2 bullets into each ring event, and the total buyins across each stop is somewhat consistent, and he only plays 9 stops per year, that brings is total buyins to 129.6k.
So that would make 70.4k/yr that he's clearing for his family every year, minus travel expenses, minus any % he's backed/swapped for (that he actually ends up paying and not stiffing).
of bullets way higher

The instamuck of the winning hand by the dealer, coupled with the stakes involved in an mtt down to the final three participants and six figures for first place are extremely suspicious. So while an honest mistake cannot be completely disproven, intentional action by the dealer seems far more likely to me.
But maybe I'm biased from having once caught a dealer and player cheating collusion in an mtt in which villain short-changed the pot by a significant amount and the dealer never counted my all-in stack or villain's too-little contribution after calling and losing. But ways of cheating involving dealer and player partnerships are many, and need vigilance from players to watch out for.
Stiffed his backer in council bluffs from what I heard
This dude is trash.
I played with him for a couple hours for the first time and he'd get absolutely wrecked online. Like, he'd struggle to win money in $20 tournaments-in a regulated site in the states. Like, he's that bad at just basic sizing. He's firing a ton of bullets and playing against just the absolute bottom of the barrel poker players. (If it matters at all, yes, I'm a winning online player in both cash and tournaments and feel comfortable making this judgement).
On top of this, he's an absolute **** human being.
He runs his mouth constantly, bitching about everything, and talking ****. When he did it to me, I asked if he's paid his backers back yet. Dude went berserk, calling me a bitch/******* for a solid 10 minutes and then said he was going to take me into the parking lot to beat the **** out of me.
He only got a 1 round penalty; the WSOP floor has no balls. Should've ejected him from the tournament.
Props to you for standing up to him.
Maurice limps in with 44 utg1, the Indian prick isos him they go hu.
Flop AAQ: Maurice donks and calls a raise
Turn 7x : Maurice donks and calls a raise.
Is this GTO??
I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a man get so much value out of 2nd pair no kicker.
I will kneel down behind him and y'all can shove him over backwards
