That's a pretty small roll to turn things around, $4000, only 13 buy-ins. That's one bad weekend for me.
He said he will give the results of this Arizona trip, but it looks like there might not be any results to give. Like you say, it's all an elaborate exercise in order to save a few $ on room rates. No chance he took that trip just to save on lodging. It's 600 to 700 miles round trip. It was probably over 25 gallons of gas.
His housing expense could be anything. I know he does stay with his friend Vince from time to time. He is also terrified of staying in a cheap hotel in fear of getting mugged.

I would never quit my job to put myself in his situation.
What I am implying here is that if s*** hit the fan where I would lose my job and the funds I have accumulated over time. Would I be able to pull off what TBC is doing.
Another question is if Phil Hellmuth lost everything including his fame and only had a networth of 10k. Would he be able to survive and climb back up.

I think this is why ELD filmed the $3 gas scene in Arizona. If Harrahs was $200 per night on the weekend then amateur accountant ELD reasoned it was better to pay $75 to save weekend room rates. It also explains why ELD was upset due to making two trips to the Arizona Pizza where he only was able to order pizza one of the times thereby wasting gas and lowering his calculated savings.

I think PMan has seen the success Magikarp Poker has had out of the gate, he already has more subscribers than PMan in three weeks of existence. So PMan is trying to pivot to the I Suck At Poker niche to try and get engagement. It's ust not going to work for PMan because he doesn't have the engaging personality, production values, or internal drive to succeed at YouTube.

This is exactly why Pman pivoted to tournaments and away from cash. He can use that Employee's Event bink to sell he is profitable in tourneys. And he can chalk up all the losses to "tourney variance" cause even the crushers have a losing year or two or many. Blaming variance can only take you so far in cash before your win/loss rate is realized.

Yeah. As expected, the Arizona trip was just another excuse to save on room rates.
He played a grand total of 2 hours poker. He spent more time than that just walking around on the golf course in the sweltering Arizona summer heat.
Of course the most important thing was that he would have got his food for free because there's like a 99% chance that Herbs n Rye picked up the tab. And getting gas for $3.16 per gallon was another trip highlight.
