On the surface, the guy takes a vacation to Arizona for a tournament.
In reality, he drives to another state because rooms in Vegas are too expensive and his only option would be to sleep in his car, can’t play poker because he (a professional poker player) doesn’t have the skills of bankroll to play an $1100 MTT, and then finally his golf excursion is literally walking the course and watching others golf.

Oh how I miss Nomad's monthly cost accounting breakdowns. However I don't miss it enough to pay him $5 a month just to find out how his $0 laundry streak is holding up.
What would be funny is if a subscriber to his newsletter would upload it for free online somewhere. Would love to see Nomad's hilarious reaction to that turn of events. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and do it haha
If he's been paying his expenses, "break even" is not a good description. He's profiting off poker and getting by on life on it. And that's more than a lot of people are capable off regardless of their job....

He said he will give the results of this Arizona trip, but it looks like there might not be any results to give. Like you say, it's all an elaborate exercise in order to save a few $ on room rates. It's like his time is absolutely worthless to him. It's utter madness how he will gladly trade 2 days of his life to save $50... but his trip to San Fran was even more comical!
Of course there was never even a remote chance of him playing in the tournament with Herbs n Rye. The only tournaments Nomad plays are the player appreciation events where you have to outlast 1 player to make it into the money. Even then he still complains about them because it takes too long for 2 morons to decide to actually play a hand instead of just keep folding like everyone else.

A guy in a Rascal scooter had a pizza box in the basket of the scooter. But the box could only fit on its side. So I asked the woman next to me at the poker table, “Isn’t the pizza gonna get ruined?” And she was adamant the box must be empty. She thought there was no way this guy would keep the pizza on its side. I had to inquire. I walked over and asked that guy if he had a slice in there. He did. I asked “Won’t all the cheese slide off?” And he said “Oh yeah, probably.” Then he placed it flat on the seat of the scooter as he played a slot machine. He couldn’t figure out on his own that the cheese slides off when the pizza is sideways.
With bangers like that, his paid content must be insanely good!

ELD should just buy a refundable ticket and sit in the airport from Friday night to Sunday morning. Then if he gets a Platinum Amex card he can get free buffet food at the Centurian lounge.

Regardless, Nomad's superior powers of logic and deduction when it comes to hand foods never fails to impress. He really is an expert on all spoon foods, hand foods, and pocket foods related topics.
TBC spends at least 30k a year on hotels, planes, trains, mashed potatoes, Ubers, massages and hookers.
This is the last post I'm going to make on the subject before I just start banning people. The thread was toxic, there were some very troubling posts being made and the entire talk about him was extremely hostile. Personal information was being posted. I tried banning people and everyone lost their minds. I tried closing the thread and you guys begged for it to be back open

The best way to avoid the lizard robbery is to check for reviews and also to let her know you can post negative reviews and warning which will cause the lizard to be prewarned to provide good service. The robberies occur when a lizard contemplates a one time tourist customer who will not post complaints.
