I would argue that after 10+ years on 2p2, the average poster has built some comradery with the posters in the thread and just like to banter back and forth. No one cares about these people that much on a personal level. It's a LOLcow freakshow.

this, i don't even watch the stuff unless some crazy stuff is mentioned, but do enjoy the banter and lolcow talk about the insane stuff they do
Same, i only watch trooper videos and only skip to when he says results, write them down then report them here. Only time i watch any other part is when something interesting happens. I almost never watch el diesel, just here for the lolz, which to be fair, almost every day theres a new revelation about how much of a weirdo he is.
Why do people care about sports teams or bands/singers? Its for the drama and the fun. Notice how nobody really cares about the vloggers who arent steeped in drama aka the successful ones

Over the years Trooper created a Patreon and a weekly game so his stalker fans could meet him and give him money more easily (which they were happy to do). Now he created a candy business so they could give him money that way instead. I think that is kind of weird.

Median height for U.S. males is 5'7"-5'8". By definition 5'9" is not "short".

Personally I don’t find the stuff about his candy business interesting even when it gets some discussion around here. If it succeeds then good for them, if it fails then I don’t care. He would just go on to the next plan.

We also arent hating them, we are making fun of them for being losers and dorks. I dont hate either one of them, i think they are both dummies, i think they both suck at poker, i think trooper is a scammer, but i dont hate him any more than anyone else, you think trooper is the first person to cheat in live SNGs or sell garage coffee to his internet fans or try to skim a little off the top with some mark up? We are making fun of el diesel because hes a lunatic who has wacky unfounded ideas about the world. The guy keeps a list of places hes eaten rotisserie chickens on the hood of his car and also has a linkedin page he set up that is almost exclusively him airing his grievances against past employers and potential future ones for not seeing his greatness. Almost every day he posts a new video on his own, that is insane. He posted one that couldnt be more than a month old giving fitness advice, when hes 75 pounds overweight, you dont think doing something like that isnt worthy of ridicule? You dont think thats an absurd, and stupid thing to do for someone who is obese and has a bmi of 30+?
People like el diesel have been made fun of and will continue to be made fun of by the world at large for all of time, when youre a dumb wacko, you get goofed on, sorry thats how it is. We could instead of making fun of trooper just follow some of the people he follows that are websites dedicated to making fun of weirdos, but instead we deem trooper a weirdo and make fun of him and el diesel. Its why springer or maury are popular shows, theres countless shows and social media pages dedicated to people like trooper and el diesel, just in different forms, they are just the poker version, and this is a poker forum.
I don't care how Diesel wants to live. That's his life. But have some humility and admit he's living and approaching poker suboptimally. That's it.

Classic Diesel, even the smallest of details he uses the long winded explanation model every single time. He is like a constant word salad,xxxl portions everytime.
I agree with him on one thing though, and that is it takes alot of history with a player to be certain of correlations between physical tells and what that really means in terms of hand strength.
When i have been on Vegas trips to play, i put less weight on tells than i do in my homebase playerpool where i have several hundred hours of history with every player that comes by.
What definition is that? A quick google search reveals that 5'9 is the average height of a US male. Objectively speaking I still say that 5'9 is short for a male, albeit perhaps not relatively. The average 1/2 player is still a losing player objectively, even if relatively they are consider average
