In the real world, I've made many adjustments including selling a long held dividend REIT stock and went into i-bonds and simple 1 year CDs because of current interest rates.
An example would be Verizon, paying around 6.4% dividend (one of the highest yields for DOW stocks), unfortunately the stock price has declined and you would have a total return of -11% over the last three years. I'm sure El Diesel could come up with a smug explanation of why you are miserable if this high dividend stock isn't in your portfolio.
Altria (Philip Morris) is paying 9.84%. There are also etf's that use a covered call strategy that are yielding over 10%.

The main problem is that the newsletter is going to just be taking stuff that he already includes in his vlogs already anyway. The poker related content of his videos is already almost not existant and hes taking the little that there is and effectively putting it behind a paywall.
He must be getting desperate to go down this path but he'd actually be better off just asking for straight up donations rather than doing this absurd newsletter idea and cannibalizing his channel in the process.

He for sure is starting to get desperate yeah. As he mentioned before multiple times he had a bad 2023,and he is also starting off this year with running bad. The games get tougher every year, rake increases and Diesel is stuck in his supernit afraid of any swings mindset year after year while other players improve.
