This obviously extends to bad relationships, but I think it applies to careers and more importantly, hobbies and daily life as well. We are creatures of habit, and the severity of our problems is often tied to the unconscious patterns we keep repeating.

In the last year or so, I’ve realized that boredom is my new best friend. Boredom isn’t emptiness, it’s a reset window. It sounds cheezy but I'll take boredom over anxiety any day.

I wrote a very long post about technology, society, where it was headed and the illusion of normalcy, but at the end it felt it was more about enjoying the sound of my own voice than making a point.

So instead I'll just say that people who who can take a step back in and be contemplative or bored these days must be doing something right, because that is not easy in this age of stimuli bombardment.
