People have fully given up expecting better from the moderation here, of course they aren't going to complain. "Mongoloid" and other variants have been shopworn ableist slurs for a long time. You don't hear it used very often because most people have outgrown that kind of behavior --you have to go to middle-school playgrounds or the 2p2 politics form to hear it used in the wild

You failed miserably to make your case that I was complaining. I don't have skin in the game, so doesn't affect me one way or another. I think it's great that there is professional ladies' basketball.

Actually, if you had the slightest ability to read something without seeing it through the lens of your preconceived notions, you would be able to understand I wasn't talking about the WNBA at all. If I was "punching down" on anyone, it was those who make silly comments like "more people than ever are watching" or the even worse "fastest growing sport" when trying to make the point how great it is that something is on the way to being successful. While those things matter, it is only in the context of the raw numbers. "More people" and "fasted growing" don't really matter if the number currently watching is still small (I have no idea the attendance or ratings for the WNBA, but that was not the point of my comment).
I also made no comment on how exciting the WNBA is to watch. Not surprising as I don't watch the WNBA or women's college basketball. But to be fair, I've never really watched the NBA and it's been a long time since I paid attention to men's college (I haven't even watched the Final Four in the past 10 years or so). But, I understand both college and the WNBA are doing quite well these days. Good for them. The question remains though (to bring this back to the original comment that led to your silly post) - when will the NBA stop subsidizing the WNBA? Maybe the answer is never as it is good for the NBA's business and they see it as a worthwhile investment. Maybe it's next year because of the success they are now having. I don't know the answer (I also don't know how much of a subsidy there is currently, I do know it exists. But again, not the point of my comment.)

It wasn't really a "case" as much as it was a basic recognition of reality (which I know offends Creationists, I'm sorry) and a bit of analysis around it. The problem you're having is that you have a very poor understanding of the subtleties of the English language, the use of figurative language, tone, etc. etc.
