The last iteration of the moderation discussion thread was a complete disaster. Numerous attempts to keep it on topic fa

I said that in march

There used to be a terrible mod who wouldn't even allow such words to be used

Lucy, who hates brown people with a passion tries to look empathic and compassionate lmao.

Significantly more people than ever before, which is pretty cool.

Significantly more people watch my wife's grandson try to tie his shoes than ever before.

Brother, people have been calling mongidig mong for months now and you are the first person to bring this up that I am aware of

People have fully given up expecting better from the moderation here, of course they aren't going to complain.

"Mongoloid" and other variants have been shopworn ableist slurs for a long time. You don't hear it used very often because most people have outgrown that kind of behavior --you have to go to middle-school playgrounds or the 2p2 politics form to hear it used in the wild.

by corpus vile

You've never known that was an offensive word? That's weird I thought everyone knew that it's why I've never referred to mongidig in that manner. Very surprised indeed that neither you or girgo were aware of how offensive it is.

I've literally never heard the term "mong" and wouldn't even know how to pronounce it. In my head I was reading it as "monj" with the g as in giraffe - and assumed it was just short for "mongidig" (what the hell is that anyway) in much the same way you (attempted) to abbreviate my name there.

"take THAT, bitches!"

well done

Keep punching down for eternity, as is your destiny.

What a kind response to a guy that said he's ok with a policy of foisting fear and terror upon the 2 billion Muslims that live on this planet! I guess that's NOT the "kind of behavior" that one should "outgrow". He's the kind of adult we need more of here for rational and sober discussion...

I too thought the m word was similar to Neanderthal

I mean who could have even imagined that the word Mongol-oid had anything at all with Mongolia , it has been a surprise for everyone to learn that.

Hey Lucio, you could learn a thing or two about being presented overwhelming evidence of your ignorance and changing your view from this incident that you are currently trying to use to make yourself feel superior

Might help you avoid a permaban in the near future. Just a thought, champ

for me it's not even a reference to mongoloid, it's just faster to type mong, maybe if he was cool enough i would type m instead but he's not deserving of that and even if i brute forced it nobody would know who i was talking about

and no i'm not going to type that name in full, it'd really mess up my chaturb8t cookies - who wants to jack off to some women being a charlatan copycat when i have the master available

Bob Ross was awesome.

Well, it is, and it's a disability slur.

Can I suggest that we end this inane debate about mongidig. If someone truly can't be arsed to write out his entire username, then just use m- or mongi.

Mongy works.

No, you call him Mongo, like the guy from Blazing Saddles

i'm not british though innit, that's like if you told me my fanny pack was offensively named

i just finished an argument with an 8 and 10 year over whether or not spy kids was meant for kids or not (they thought they needed to use the adult profile to view it because their children's profile wouldn't be able to access it) and it reminded me about a lot of my discussion with people here on this forum 😀

I knew mongoloid was an insult, but I didn't know it was a racial epithet, I used to think it was a synonym of neanderthal. Somebody on here educated me on this some 6 months ago and I said my bad and haven't called him or anybody else mongoloid since.Significantly more people than ever before, which is pretty cool.Forever? Why not? It's not like the WNBA is crushing the NBA

Except I wasn't complaining about ladies' hoops at all. Please work on your reading comprehension. Thanking you in advance.

Women's tennis is cool, but you should check out women's MMA, many of these women have some real knockout power, there have been numerous crazy fights in the women's division.

Thanks for the head's up. I'm not really an MMA fan though.
