The "LOLCANADA" thread...again

So what's new?

I've noticed the Liberals are now ahead in all major polls and Trudeau hasn't even started to campaign yet

Specifically Canadians denying global warming after the summer we've just had is just bonkers.

Uke, how do you feel about Carney pledging 400m for the West bank and Gaza? Not sure how credible the sources are so this could be a nothing burger but still curious how liberals feel about this now that Canada is heading towards a recession and tons of layoffs are looming.

You're the guy who was raving about Indians serving you at Tim Hortons and wanting to deport millions of people in Canada right? And then you got temp banned? That guy?

I'm sure that type of person isn't exactly going to be sympathetic to the idea of humanitarian aid, but ya I think the richest countries in the world have some moral responsibility to provide aid to help war torn regions in the world. I don't know if I have a specific thought about the specific number, but yes after the devastation in gaza I think we should be part of the solution of rebuilding it when - hopefully - peace is attained.

I got a 10 day ban for saying you should be executed because you're a traitor to the country, I still believe this btw. Just won't repeat it because I'm sure our feminist mod is eager to hand me another ban.

But yes, I absolutely believe millions of immigrants on temporary visas(that have expired) should be deported. Again, these aren't my numbers, these are the numbers given to us by the government.

I'm sure that type of person isn't exactly going to be sympathetic to the idea of humanitarian aid

I don't understand how these two are related? I'm anti this version of immigration therefore I am anti humanitarian aid even though I probably do more for my local community than you do for your own children.

This administration is about run another huge deficit, Canadians are visiting food banks in record numbers, as a fiscal conservative I laugh at the idea of ''richest country'' when your own are too poor to feed themselves.

As always, I appreciate you confirming the fact you are indeed a traitor to Canada and its people.

If it wasn't so tragic, it's hilarious that you think noting basic, basic low level facts about climate change like that that the ice caps are melting and the sea level rising is some type of self pwn.

It's just baseless fear mongering. What happens if ice caps melt and sea levels rise, how much are they melting, how much are the sea levels rising, at what point is it castrophic? These are measure able, so let's hear it.

There is literally hundreds of thousands of peer-reviewed articles/literature out there that pretty much unanimously come the same conclusion.

If you want to go all Jordan Peterson and just don't believe them then say that, but baseless?

What conclusion is that?

That climate change denialists are a special kind of stupid. Especially Canadian ones.

Nice cop out. Common man let's hear those conclusions, there's 1000's of them. 100 million people currently live below sea level, when should they move? Ice caps are melting, sea level is rising! The end is near unless we all believe and come together as a collective to solve the climate from changing.

by Pablito

Kinda seems like you DID just repeat it.

How on earth did I guess you opposed this humanitarian aid??

Lmao, climate denialists are so inept. Like that ice caps are melting is just a basic basic basic fact about global warming. The ice-albedo effect is just one of the lowest level have to know almost nothing everyone and their dog realizes it feedback mechanisms. And ya, there is a tonne of science (take IPCC6 for instance) that "measures" and otherwise quantifies predictions for these precise effects.

Sometimes the predictions of science can be scary. But that doesn't mean it is baseless fear mongering.

I think the argument would be Canada is already in a massive deficit, people are struggling, healthcare sucks, food banks are running out of food, etc.

Why do you quote half sentences? You really have to be this dishonest?

Agreed. Excellent conclusion. The first bit is just gibberish but the conclusion is spot on.

by Shifty86

That's exactly what the argument is but UKE spends more time being dishonest than he does engaging in good faith debate. Guess that's just how boomers do things these days.

by Pablito

Lololol, cutting to the bit I'm commenting on isn't dishonest ffs. It isn't a huge shocker that based on your outta-nowhere "HEY UKE WHAT ABOUT GAZA AID" interjection combined with your prior deport millions stance that you probably aren't a fan of such humanitarian aid. Seems I was right.

Glad to see you are keeping up with the comically inept "boomer" bit right after a faux lecture about supposed good faith debating.

by Pablito

I probably do more for my local community than you do for your own children. .

This was the bit I ignored that Pablito was really really upset I was so dishonest for not responding to.

But....

Like you get that this is REALLY weird statement to make? You really want this highlighted?!?!?

It's not the first, second or third time you've done that. Quoting small parts of sentences to make it seem as if someone said something else.

In my case, I asked you to explain the correlation between being anti this version of immigration and being against sending 400m to Gaza. The way you quote makes it seem as if I said ''I'm anti immigration + I'm anti humanitarian aid''. I'm not against either.

by uke_master

Nope, see above.

It isn't a huge shocker that based on your outta-nowhere "HEY UKE WHAT ABOUT GAZA AID" interjection

This was to expose what is the average liberal Canadian. Your own people can not afford food yet you are still totally fine with sending 400m to Gaza. Like I said, you boomers are completely okay with the average Canadian suffering as long as you don't have to suffer.

Stay dishonest little man.

ah... while climate change is definitely a thing bringing any one weather event to it is stupid. you need long term trends. if were being honest 400 million is nothing right? im against it personally theres no real famine happening more people are starving in other places

by Pablito

Nope, see above.

Weird. You weirdly said you did more to help the community than I do parenting my children. That's weird. What a weird thing to say. It's like saying my shirt is bluer than your apple juice is sweet. Just weird. Why on earth would you compare yourself to what an anonymous (supposedly boomer!) person on the internet raises their kids. Weird. Weird. Weird.

But if it is NOT weird and you think this is deeply connected to why you are made about humanitarian aid to gaza well then please explain that connection.

Your own people can not afford food yet you are still totally fine with sending 400m to Gaza. Like I said, you boomers are completely okay with the average Canadian suffering as long as you don't have to suffer. .

Ah still on the boomer bit eh? Thanks for leading the way with an intellectually honest conversation!

Weird.

And who, exactly, said I'm ok with Canadian poverty?

by MoViN.tArGeT

The long term trend is that Canadian summers have been getting hotter and we're breaking heat records pretty much every summer. I apologize for not spelling it out for you, I will try to do so next time.

if were being honest 400 million is nothing right? im against it personally theres no real famine happening more people are starving in other places

Perhaps 400m is nothing to you. To me it's 400m Canada does not have, definitely not for Gaza when our own are visiting food banks in record numbers.

And again 0 explanation. Just more gibberish.

And who, exactly, said I'm ok with Canadian poverty?

I did, based on your political beliefs and the nonsense you post here. It's evident you're okay with your neighbor suffering as long as you're not.

by Pablito

Agreed. Excellent conclusion. The first bit is just gibberish but the conclusion is spot on.

Cool, where do you want to start?

by Pablito

And again 0 explanation. Just more gibberish.

0 explanation of what? You weirdly claimed you did more for your community than I do raising children. That is a weird statement. I'm really sorry I cut it out the first time and you are INSISTING the weirdness is super super relevant and how dare I misrepresent you so dishonest! But I don't know how to explain it. I have no idea why you said something so deeply weird.

by Pablito

It's evident you're okay with your neighbor suffering as long as you're not.

Well given your endless "boomer" references, it looks like just making stuff up is part of the gimmick.

It's amusing watching you struggle. No way you're a math professor. Just no way.

It's true. I do struggle to see why someone would ever make the weird weird weird statement that they do more for their community than a parent does for their children. That's weird. And I definitely am struggling to see why you said it, and then got really upset that I dishonestly ignored it the first time. But I'm not ignoring it now. So weird.

by uke_master

It's true. I do struggle to see why someone would ever make the weird weird weird statement that they do more for their community than a bad parent does for their children. That's weird. And I definitely am struggling to see why you said it, and then got really upset that I dishonestly ignored it the first time. But I'm not ignoring it now. So weird.

Fixed your post.

That's not the point btw, I explained it in an earlier post and you still don't get it. No wonder Canadian students math scores are declining having people like you teaching them.

Ah yes lovely, how dishonest of me, how obviously bad faith of me, I didn't respond to your bit about how you do more for your community than I, as a bad parent, do for my children. My deepest apologies for initially ignoring such an obviously important detail!

Weird.

Weird, weird, weird.
