I don't understand why (Rice) just didn't become a self-employed accountant.

Rice would've had way too many disagreements with the clientele, what with the rubric and all.

Also: I don't think there's anything that could get a wack packer to work a conventional job, what with their social skills (or lack thereof) and all.

Rice calculates cubic feet of soil dug from a 178 ft tunnel in today's vlog. He does seem good at math, and I believe he got some sort of accounting certificate betwen college and law school. I don't understand why he just didn't become a self-employed accountant, which would give him enough free time to do other things like travel and play poker, since he wouldn't need too man

In an alternate universe:

Hey guys, going through the budget. I spent $727 last month on lodging, $355 on groceries, $0.75 on toiletries and hygiene products, $133 on gas, $56 on car insurance and $4 on laundry.

That comes to a total of $1,275.75.

El Diesel accounting brought in a total of $2,200. Charging an average of $100 hour, that is 22 hours worked or 5.5 hours worked per week.

Youtube and poker brought in $237.16 and $16.33 respectively for a total of $253.49 in other income.

I also stole a bulb of garlic from a buffet and sold it for two sticks of gum, which I value at $0.19.

All told, my total monthly income was $2,453.68.

I added $1,177.93 to my net worth. Many people in corporate jobs don't even add half of that to their net worth each month.

If I were to work the minimum at ELD accounting to cover my expenses, it would be exactly 12.7575 hours of billable work.

If I were to count youtube, poker and garlic stealing in addition to my day job, I'd only need 10.2207 hours of billable work.

If I were to steal only bulbs of garlic from Vegas buffets, I would need 6,714.47 bulbs of garlic. For the 0.47 garlic I'd split a bulb of garlic in half.

He should get a job of course, and if he wants to grind on the side do that.Personally I find it hard to work normal jobs with normal people and then grind in my off hours. It's hard splitting my brain between poker and anything else. My best times were during covid when I was able to fully immerse myself in the game and study without distraction. Having nothing but poker frien

The best time for me was when I worked seasonal jobs which paid a few months of unemployment during the months where it was too cold to work.

Was finally able to play poker without the stress of needing to make the money.

And for studying poker, I could really only do it on weekends when I was fresh. Carpentry and other labour intensive jobs burned me out so much that all my brain wanted to do at night was play 1-2 hours of poker max, and then watch tv another hour and then bed.

No games at PH as if 12:50 pm

Really hope Rice doesn't get to deal the final hand in the room. This might cause a nice meltdown.

I am of the camp that Trooper does not have a work ethic. What Trooper does is put in a large amount of hours, so he does not have to work, "for the man".If Trooper could make a guaranteed $30/hr working for the man, or put in a massive amount of hours, dicking around, pretending to work, he'd do the latter every time.Trooper's 'job' is to pretend he is working, so Lady Trooper

Bingo, and here's the reason why: Trooper suffers from exceptionalism, ie the belief that he's exceptional vs "regular people". He always thinks he's one idea away from striking it big and just needs to figure it out. Getting a regular job would be admitting he was wrong and not exceptional and just average - that would tantamount to spiritual death for him.

Yes exactly, wich is one of the cardinal signs of the personality disorder narcissism.

They are always better than regular/normal people, they are never ever wrong, they know everything despite evidence that the oposite is true. This grandiose inflated ego is always present. As you describe it they are always on the path to greatness.

I think there’s a place for positivity, but it has to be contextualized. All the super overweight people these days use body positivity, pretending they’re fine with looking that way, is a similar example. Poker is not for everyone. I’ve watched more skilled players than me not be able to make it in poker because of a million reasons. Tilt, can’t multi t

I think perspective and not having the skills to find a cushy white collar job. Are you some hot white liberal chick with gorgeous assets and charisma? If so you dont need poker to sustain contentment in life.

The trade off is working on your own schedule, but the thing is poker is so different from a business its not even close.

Poker is one of these weird things where if you dont have mind sight, planning, and awareness it will kill you.

Oh yeah and poker is a skill game.

If it came from his dad hitting him, he’d also not answer I think.

I think years ago he said he just never saw the point of alcohol and never even tried it. To me that tracks as dad drunkenly beat him and the family.

Absent father households correlate with violent behaviour (or in Trooper’s case, acting tough on camera).

Just my take.

Good point.

Accounting has a lot of different subsets.

Do you understand how hard it is to build a book of business, even as a CPA?

Being a male prostituuuuuuuuuuuute is 1000000000000000x better then being an accountant if you dont plan on doing tax/going for a CPA.

Its probably 10x better then playing 1/2 for a living.

Exploit the liberals. Profit?

Pman has a great origin story for his self given nickname.

Pman is short for Pokermaniac which is hilariously ironic since he hardly plays poker. It's like naming an offensive lineman, Tiny.

Well if we think of him punting and spewing like a maniac at the poker table does, it's fitting in that way. He definitely punts frequently in tourneys.

ELD reports that he is in Scottsdale and presented himself to a corn dog restaurant eating challenge for free corn dogs.

However the restaurant sized ELD up and backpedaled and somehow disqualified ELD from the eating challenge using fraudulent rubric.

...

Surprised that El Doofus didn't conclude that the restaurant must've been an obvious viewer of the vlog and must've seen the vlog in which he killed 41 meatballs, therefore, denying him the corn dog challenge.

If El Delusional gets a phone call telling him not to show up bc of no tables running, he's going to be emotionally confused. He thinks that he's a celebrity dealer bc of his vlog and that people play at PH bc of him.

I don't know anything about becoming an accountant. Just making a point that El D is obsessed with numbers and stats, and has a law degree as well which should count for something even though he never took the bar exam. It would seem to have been the perfect fit for him, even if he had to take regular certification tests. There's also Certified Financial Planner etc. Instead he just keeps spreadsheets of ridiculous stuff such as how much he won in 2018 at X poker room etc.

ELD admits the entire purpose of the trip was to eat 20 corn dogs for the eating challenge and ELD was unfairly denied.

For the record: I don't think Rice could eat 20 Corn Dogs.

That's the problem, he only likes keeping track and counting things that are of special interest to him. When it's actually his job and he's being paid $40 per hour to do it, then all of sudden he is too lazy and has zero interest in keeping track of anything. Perfect example is not wanting to keep track of the pot size when dealing PLO and PLO8. But during his stupid "keep track" weeks he would keep track of every other senseless metric and statistic under the sun; most of which are of zero interest to anyone other than him!

If a restaurant has a 20 corn dog challenge then it ought to always have on stock 20 corn dogs. The website states they are "Foster Farms" corn dogs so they can easily keep hundreds of them in the freezer and just microwave them whenever they need to. Further research states that Costco sells 28 Foster Farms corn dogs for $18. So Trooper can buy a package and cook 20 for ELD

by Pete_Peters

Today's Rice Vlog was interesting. In regard to the eating challenge, it wasn't quite clear which party breached the rubric. Did Rice breach by not providing timely notice of intent to eat 21 corn dogs? Or did the establishment change the rubric last minute to prevent rice from attempting the feat?

Was hilarious to see Rice's brain implode when confronted with someone enforcing a seemingly arbitrary rubric against him. Just like he is so fond of doing to others when he perceives himself to be in a position of power as a poker dealer. Something tells me though that he didn't stop and acknowledge the parallels.

I skimmed through the latest Rice video, did he mention how much it costs if you fail? From watching a bunch of BeardMeats videos, there is some pretty decent food costs if you fail and free if you do it, which BeardMeats does it like 99.5% of the time.

Even if it was $40 for the 20 corndogs if he fails, I don't see Rice risking paying more for food than ever before especially since he will fail that challenge most likely.

Or maybe he is like Pman and thinks its a freeroll. lol

Henry AKA Casino Nomad is currently live streaming from the Rio

Henry is currently retelling his origin story of how he became the "casino nomad"

Wait, the arson investigators never concluded that the neighbor burnt CN’s car, so CN could’ve just lit it on fire for insurance money to gamble with.

Henry reiterates that he is remotely employed by a global marketing company. This is a convenient arrangement as it allows him the freedom to pursue the casino nomad lifestyle.

Henry officially introduces the "financial advisor" without letting us actually see her. He confirms that "financial advisor" is actually just a euphemism for girlfriend; and then dispels any rumour that it is actually code for "midnight ballerina"

In response to claims that he's a gambling degenerate, Henry gives the following explanation:

"Am I an addict? Yes. Am I like a really bad addict out there? Like no"

Well at least that's settled. It's good to know that he's not a really bad addict out there.

Casino Nomad states that he hates slow walkers who walk too slow on the strip thereby violating the sidewalk rubric.

Casino Nomad also hates his hotel neighbors opening and closing the doors to their rooms too often.

It's not hard to see why Henry ran into problems with fellow residents in his apartment complex.

He seems very easily triggered by noise in particular. Frequent opening/closing of hotel doors, loud music, too much bass, loud conversations etc etc. Even his financial advisor chimed in and said that it's because he's very sensitive to noise. He previously mentioned that he knocks on peoples room door in hotels and tells them to turn down their music. So yeah, it's no great mystery why someone might have decided to torch his car.

Finally a cash game at PH.

For fans of Rice hooping watch Xuan Liu ball in today's video. Who wins 1 on 1?
