Now there's the thread where someone claimed to have found statistically significant deviations between stronger and weaker winning regs. Months later we're still waiting for the data. If those analyses exist they should be released so everyone can examine them.

Thats this thread. And We've been waiting for over a year now.
People claiming to have found deviations isnt new, but somehow they always withhold the evidence.
I agree that if they exist they should be released, but its safe to say OP was just a big nothingburger

i would love if the dataminers could post all the hands from the breakeven and losing streamers.

they do seem to win bbj's way more than the average.

the brazilian semi fish reg basically gets them every 2months.

they know the money will go back into the games as they dont win.

Since then I’ve run large-sample statistical analyses on a massive GG database of hands from winning regs (winners post-rake). Looking at overall run patterns – running under/above all-in EV, BBJ runouts, pure cooler spots – I’m seeing statistically significant deviations that effectively compress the edge between good and bad regulars by up to 3 bb/100 over big samples.

Combined with the already known PVI system (which clearly works to reduce the gap between winners and losers), this doesn’t look like normal variance but like a systematic reduction of regs’ edge.

At an appropriate time I’ll leak the full analyses (graphs, distributions, methodology, raw numbers) so anyone with a solid stats background can verify or try to break the conclusions....

Running above/under ev is a complete outside factor compared to skill.
A fish and a top reg have the exact same chances of running above/below ev over the same sample.

This is wrong.

For 6 handed games "Regulars" tend to play a tighter and more condensed/overlapping range with each other than with a looser fish's which has a noticeable impact on the true expected equity of hands while database software can only provide equity analysis utilizing information from cards which were exposed at showdown. Databases will provide EV as if the hand was played HU and that none of the other four players were dealt cards. Here is an example of what I am talking about:

You raise A♥ K♣ UTG, CO reg flats, BTN fish flats

Flop comes A♣ T♥ 3♠
You cbet, reg calls, fish raises, you jam, reg folds, fish calls with T♣ 3♣

The CO who called and then folded had a range of hands which interacted with the board in some way, they did not have random cards, but their folded cards will be treated as such and have no impact on the face up equity you will be provided by the client or your database software. The CO would have been more weighted towards hand combos like AJ, A9s, KQ or KJ with BDFD, etc. All of these more heavily weighted combos negatively impact your equity vs the T3 and they cut down on your true frequency of hitting trips, your K for top 2p, running QQ or JJ to make a better 2p, or running QJ to made broadway. In this scenario you will underrealize your displayed EV as it wont account for some of the incomplete information you should have some insight into. The folded cards preflop impact your EV slightly as well, just nowhere nearly as much as the overlapping ranges....

It’s been a while and we still havent seen any actual data or analysis posted, which is a bit disappointing given the claims about statistical anomalies.

At the same time GG just keeps operating as usual, and if anything, the feeling that something is off hasn’t gone away. It’s not just about recreational players either it really feels like weaker regs are being protected as well. They don’t bust the way you’d expect, they hang around longer, and overall the pool dynamics start to feel unnatural over time.

The real problem is that even if something is happening its almost impossible to prove. You’re dealing with a completely closed system, no transparency, and limited access to meaningful data. So even if there are real irregularities, they can always be brushed off as variance or flawed methodology.

That’s what makes this so frustrating. There’s a constant sense that things aren’t quite right, but no practical way for players to actually verify or challenge it. And as long as that’s the case, there’s no real pressure on the site to explain anything.

I’m not claiming I have hard proof, but at this point it’s getting harder and harder to just accept everything as normal variance, especially when the same patterns seem to repeat

And it’s not just abstract patterns either. It’s the constant feeling of running into these “magical” runouts where everything lines up perfectly for the other side, combined with spots where you’re consistently getting outflopped in ways that just don’t feel random over time. Anyone who’s put in serious volume knows what normal variance looks like, and this just feels different.

At some point, someone with the right tools and access really needs to take a deeper look into this, because as it stands, players are left with serious doubts and no real way to get answers.
