The single most important skill in $50K+ tournaments (PPC aside)—more than everything else combined—is entering them. If you can’t do that properly, you have no chance of cashing.

Lol, most of these people sell most of their action in those. You need to be able to convince people to buy it at close to even. Or you need bankroll from previous wins or you can be a wealthy amateur. DN obviously has sponsorship money, but could sell action at a markup for most of them and would have bankroll from his previous wins. There are exceptions, as mentioned, like when Stars kept buying him into EPT high rollers.
Sure, you could probably get wins or top finishes if GG bought you into all of those DN plays, but you would probably lose a lot of $s net, and your record would probably not look anywhere as good as the subject of this thread. Lol, some grinder would get bought into those and win the PPC and $100K PLO in 3 years, etc.
You can go play the $3K/6K mixed that runs during the WSOP or the $50/50/100 PLO games that sometimes run. Maybe if you just had the money for them you could beat them.
With tournaments, it is really easy to sell shares. Maybe see what someone will pay for your action in the $100K PLO.
There are other people who have probably put up better WSOP results in the last few years, and most aren't playing pretty much every high buyin event like DN. There was a time when he was probably a significant dog in NLHE high rollers, but winning at any stakes in PLO and mixed, and winning at $10K and below in NLHE. Now, he has worked on GTO and probably some other things, and may be EV+ in $250K NLHEs. He is obviously still a top tournament player, but not better than many others who don't have the sponsorship and publicity.

He clearly isn't crushing at high stakes MTTs in the last 10 years like he was crushing the $10Ks etc. on TV etc. It may partly be there are better players now, and also there are higher stakes tournaments. He can still crush $10Ks.
If he sold shares in most these $25K+ events he plays, he could mostly sell them at a markup. He is a top tournament player to do as well as he does in high buyin events. He isn't some big deal like GG makes him out to be, but he isn't a losing player relying on an endorsement contract as has been implied ITT.
Shares in Ivey's entries would probably go for more than those of DNs. There are also several players in NLHE high rollers who could sell shares for more than DN and several players who could sell for more than he could in the PPC.

I even used HIS numbers when I posted his results over ten years. I also said he has a dream life and any grinder would take his losing wsops and endorsements over having to beat poker. Somehow facts weren't enough for you.
If I was like you id pretend his 2026 wsop sucked. But unlike you facts don't bother me. He crushed it this summer.
