It's not all that complicated.
1) Ban unnecessary and polluting consumption via global treaty.
2) Provide UBI for all necessities (food, shelter, medical and dental care, education, basic technology (internet/phone/computer) childcare, community resources)
3) Offer employment in fields relating to providing necessities and in environmental restoration.
It's a fundamentally different society than the present one which idealizes consumption regardless of the polluting consequences.

I have never claimed to have a solution to climate change. I'm not even sure there is a solution to climate change.

I'm not self-righteous. I subscribe to Einstein's view of determinism which implies that we all act according to nature which we don't choose. So that makes me a zombie.
I don't subscribe to notions of good and bad. I just have a strong and indistinguishable preference that life goes on. It pains me to observe adults who are indifferent to the suffering of young people. It makes me angry.

War is a symptom of our tribal subdivision into competing tribes and inability to imagine global cooperation.
We are brainwashed into fearing other people and cultures in order to distract us from what we all have in common. The brainwashers are the people who enjoy the ego experience of being at the top of the food chain.
The first root cause is ego. The desire to find oneself more worthy than our fellow humans.
The second root cause is fear which causes us to retreat within the safety of our personal tribe in opposition to other tribes. Fear drives us to seek to control our destiny .... an inherently uncontrollable thing. Fear is the opposing quality to faith.
These root causes are part of our nature and the seeds for civilization demise which could take the species as a whole down.
A Nazi in 1940 might have reacted to the future Nuremburg Trials as "lowkey funny". That would have been a perfectly understandable defense mechanism.
Imagine being stuck between a rock and a hard place. Either cooperate in a genocide or risk being a victim of that genocide by declaring your opposition.
That's the real world. I don't find it particularly funny.
At the end of the day .... nature is the boss. Survival of the fittest is natural law.
Nature is going to execute the current prevailing attitude which permits the freedom to pollute.
Ultimately, it is the pollution which will kill us. But the attitude which enables that pollution will die.
Humans may survive the coming apocalypse, but that attitude will not.
