Its my understanding that Canadains have not been raking the forests. Like at all. Ever.

And it has been brought to my attention that the good ole us & a has filed a complaint with the manager. So I suspect that these problems will be ending very very soonly

It’s crazy how far and fast the impact has spread. The air quality in Delaware is awful today.

I can remember the last big ones in my state, the air was terrible honestly for weeks. Your lungs would burn and your sense of smell was affected from something happening 700 miles away

Sounds like a punishment dole out to campers for breaking curfew or referring to girls by various body parts. Canadians are largely obedient so the job never gets done.

I've been in Flathead Valley (nw Montana) where you couldn't see any of the mountains from the valley floor. And the Missoula airport (home of the USFS Smoke Jumpers, unless Doge got 'em) a little south of there sometimes closes because of smoke. It's always fires from Canada or Oregon causing it, it seems.

All your clothes smell like you spent the weekend camping.

Get rid of your dumpster fire and we'll handle the forest fire, k?

Alternatively, you could be a good neighbour and spare a few firefighters and equipment like we seem to do for California and a bunch of other places every damn year.

Most of the fires are in really crappy locations to deal with. Very remote, water is in shorter supply, etc. Gonna be that way until the winds change or some rain starts falling in those areas. Weirdly, everywhere around me in Saskatchewan and Alberta has had the wettest 6 weeks for rain in the last 25 years, so *knocks on wood* it's been better in the west so far this summer. But the hot weather looks like it's here now, so no farting in the forest, ok thanks.

Seriously though, I remember 2015 NorCal when you couldn't see across a half mile valley that is normally clear. It didn't cool down at night and we have one air purifier for Sr's house. It was just like constant nagging and anyone with allergies went nuts.

OTOH Phoenix kicked off Monsoon with two storms in the first week. In nonsoon years that's all we get for the summer.

My employer decided expensive office space > cost of living increases. On Monday they started the ole in-office policy to justify the expense. God weighed in on return_to_office mandates.

Get rid of your dumpster fire

we are in the process of throwin a bunch o napalm and an array of volatile substances into the dumpster right now so it may b a while

Alternatively, you could be a good neighbour

sadly this is highly unlikely

Yes. Assuming you're on windows, right-click the picture, copy. At the appropriate spot in your post, ctrl-v to paste it in there. It'll start for a few seconds with something like

[Uploading Image...]

when it's done, it will replace the above with some mark-up to the site's copy of your picture. Submit, and you're GTG.

My employer

Did I miss this, or is this the first you're mentioning it? Last I recall, you were independent lawyering. What field did you go into?

When they are buying in for 30bb and reading an article on early retirement, how bad is the game from scale of 1 to 10?

HBD, APD

I’ve never seen one? What forum?

There is an Aussie rules (AFL) team called the Fremantle Dockers who are leading that competition this year so perhaps related to that.

yes, a lot of people in omg omg omg talk about the dockers regularly

and whenever i see afl discussed anywhere in any sportsbetting forum it's usually about the dockers - usually bad though

I forget where I am in the saga. I had a cup of coffee at the firm that got my trial victory overturned on appeal. I then joined a small startup firm because the founder loved the first firm so much that he hired their castoffs.

It's been a fun few years but now they want us back in the office and are sending emails about some new billiable hours quota. So I think the clock is ticking.

Well, congrats on getting a lot of experience and a fun few years. Looking at going back independent, or looking for another firm?
