[ClubWPTGold] Unofficial Thread
time for a thread imo
the bot invasion on this site is getting bad. seeing guys at every table with astronomical amounts of hands (200K+) playing the micro stakes with like a 21/16 stats. How can you even play that many hands with 4 tables?
There’s obviously been bots on this site since its inception. The field sizes in the MTTs and # of cash tables running 24/7 aren’t possible without bots.
And the bots are easy to spot, and beat. Unless the program favors underdogs. If that technology is possible (of course it is), and the site itself is employing the bots (unknown but at these numbers it's easy to imagine), it's a scandal that dwarfs anything UB/AP/Full Tilt ever pulled.
For those who weren’t there when the site first opened, it was strictly US facing and 1 table max. The tournament and cash game numbers were impossible given those constraints.
Yes - it's crazy how bad the software is. You'd think with people like Polk, who come from a strictly online background, they would work together to put out a solid product.
The software feels like yahoo! poker from 2004. It's wild to me Full Tilt and Stars 16 years ago were easily 20x better than this garbage.
Exactly! Biggest names in poker promoting the worst graphics and just over all game play! Where is the " Wait for BB button?!" I think this is such a hard money grab. WPT is such a big name and presents this BS site! Only thing It's got going for them is soft players.......... But I also want to enjoy my playing experience and this site is the opposite.
I agree the software could be improved like more filters for game type. Used to think time bank was a little short but it’s nice to not have to wait long for someone tanking or disconnecting. They may have their software the way they want it and have their reasons. I mean do you really like to gamble if you haven’t **** your pants to not miss a hand? One guy at my local casino
LOL.... I'm just making a point about crapping. A couple of us drink a few beers and it would be nice to have time to take a piss and be able to come back to the same room where your getting a feel for the players in that room. I'm all against repeatedly tanking, so put in restrictions on players that abuse that privilege. WPT doesn't care about us ,not sure why I'm wasting my time even typing this.
Polk puts his face out there to attract customers and get a nice % of your initial deposit money. You really think he’s involved in decision making for the site? Did you think Neymar was making decisions for pokerstars?
Yep... I hear ya. I can't wait for Poker Stars to come back to the USA . Even though I know ACR is full of cheaters and the best players in the world at my stakes............I'd rather break even every year of lose 20k or so and play with top notch software as stupid as that sounds..

yeah preposterous. why would a skateboarding game developer ever ask Tony Hawk his opinion on anything?
Been on here for almost a month now. My thoughts so far. The games seem easy. I'm winning a lot faster at the micros then I did when I first started with bovada 13 years ago. Soooooo many bad players. Is this still true at the higher stakes?
The game seems faster. Time bank of 15 seconds instead of 30 with a free 30 seconds extra is the reason for this. I like this change. Bovada/ignition seemed slow even before RTA use, and I believe this protects players from RTA.
Now to the cons. Software isn't great. My managers at work any time someone screws up will say "you can agree that you could have done better". Tables not loading, app crashes, games freezing up (dangerous with a 15 sec time bank) sub par game filter are all problems. I'm playing on a 10 year old desktop and its hard at times to tell when the software is the problem or the hardware. But I still prefer playing on this site over an hour drive to the casino. I miss the servers in there skimpy uniforms though.
I've learned to load one table at a time over all at once. When needing a bathroom break I either will quite the session altogether and sign out or run to the bathroom knowing that I will miss a few hands. This is frustrating considering that it will take time to load four new tables when I return. Honest question, What is the reason for not having a sit out feature? Does it push action in any way? If so, then I think this is a good trade off. I would like to see a wait for BB button option.

I've been playing less than a month and have over 20k hands in. In 10 months Ill be over 200k. How many hands have everyone else played? This alone doesn't seem to point to an account being a bot.

How can you spot a bot? How can you beat one? Do you think this scandal will ever be exposed? I like to be optimistic and think that there is no scandal.
What was Yahoo poker like in 04?
If after many years playing online including Bovada lol, if you can't spot the bot in your first half hour at the table, then maybe you are the sucker.

I don’t know what your point is but I’m telling you how it works. Doug isn’t an expert poker site operator consultant. His connection and purpose with Clubwptgold is marketing and promotion. His purpose is to use his name and social media platform to bring in customers and money.

they bought doug's training site and integrated it into the lobby. he's more than an instagram shill.
I have no idea if the RNG complaints are true, but it's incredibly weird they don't give you hand histories. They for sure better keep them. That said, there are pretty good incentives to juice an RNG so that fish win a bit more (retention + volume = rake). The game structures also incentivize very wide ranges, blind calls, etc. So, that is definitely an element.
Ultimately though, this site is utterly incompetent to be handling the amount of money that goes through it daily. There are so many complaints about "glitches" that ultimately result in money robbery its nuts. Payouts take an obscene amount of time to boot.
I also noticed the dumb casino games went down today. I suppose is pretty hard to argue a slot machine is related to poker training.
I would be shocked it if were around this time next year, and I would be pretty terrified and embarrassed to have my name associated with it. But I guess those guys have a lot of money and very strong tolerance for risk.
I misread your post, but yeah they bought Doug’s completely useless and outdated training site so they could continue to skirt laws and regulations by coining themselves as a training platform instead of a gambling platform. Again, Doug’s only purpose is to allow them to attract more customers and grift.
