GGPoker Winning NL500/NL1000 Reg Banned for "RTA"
Hello 2+2,
I’m posting this because I believe I was unjustly permanently banned by GG Poker for alleged Real-Time Assista
It's really disturbing when the ones trying to do things by the book are being punished just for being good players.
This thread should be in NVG and get more attention as there is a clear pattern here.
Hello fellow grinders.
I've made a post yesterday on the reddit forum about exactly the same situation many of you are also going through. You can find the link here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/GGPoker/comment...
Cliffs:
Account frozen since 19 May
Answering instantly on all the requests from security (all the same standard questions as the rest are getting)
Account permantly closed on the 30th of June for alleged RTA use.
Security told me to contact Cashier to cash out my remaining funds, they would process a manual withdrawal within 24 hours.
Cashier confirmed only my balance of $9.518,43. They didn't confirm my $12,500 rakeback in Gems. They ignored my reminders and a formal notice.
The helpdesk at GGPoker helped me out yesterday and let me login to exchange my GEMS into cash.
My GGPoker username: IRunItOnce
Now i'm awaiting for my effective withdrawal, which they promised to do within 24hours on the 30th of June.
As everyone who is going through this process knows, it's so mentally draining, it's so unfair and such an injustice is happening right in front of your eyes, and your hands are just tied behind your back.
I obviously never used RTA and would never want to earn any $ that way, that goes against my nature.
Stay strong everyone.
UPDATE: I received another (probably final) response from GGPoker Security.
They have now confirmed a few additional points:
-The ban is based on an alleged breach of their Real-Time Assistance (RTA) policy.
-They state that their system detected a violation at least once between April 29, 2026 (when I received the in-client warning) and June 17, 2026 (when my account was restricted).
-They say the decision went through multiple layers of human review, including a senior reviewer.
-They have also temporarily unlocked my account so I can claim my GEM balance, although my gameplay remains permanently restricted.
However, the core issues are still unanswered.
They still refuse to explain:
-What they believe I used;
-When the alleged violation actually occurred;
-Which session or tournament triggered their conclusion.
-Whether this was based on one event or multiple events;
-Any evidence that would allow me to understand or challenge their findings.
Their position remains that they "cannot disclose" the algorithms, detection methods, technical data or methodology.
I've consistently maintained the same position from day one: I did not use RTA while playing. After receiving the warning on April 29, I immediately contacted support to understand what had triggered it, but I never received any meaningful guidance that would allow me to identify or correct a potential issue. I continued playing in good faith while trying to resolve the situation, only to later receive a permanent ban.

I'm sharing this update because I believe transparency benefits both players and the integrity of the game. This discussion has never been about attacking GGPoker—it's about understanding how a player can defend themselves when such a serious accusation is made without any specific evidence being disclosed.
Thank you again to everyone who has shared similar experiences or constructive opinions. Every additional case helps build a clearer picture of how these situations are being handled.

Hi, I can relate 100% to your situation. The entire process and the messages from GG sound almost identical to what happened to me.
About a year ago, my account was temporarily suspended over similar concerns. After an investigation, I was allowed to continue playing, so I assumed everything had been resolved.
This year, while playing higher stakes and still being a winning player, they conducted another investigation. A few weeks later, my account was permanently banned.
A friend of mine, who is also a winning player, went through a very similar process and was permanently banned as well.
Throughout the process, I mostly received generic responses. I offered to provide hand histories, record my play, or submit any other evidence that could help demonstrate that I play honestly. I didn’t get the impression that those offers were ever seriously considered.
I fully support efforts to catch actual cheaters. At the same time, I hope the process is robust enough to avoid false positives, because if cases like mine and my friend’s are genuine, that’s something the community should be aware of.
Neither my friend nor I went public with this before because we didn’t think it would change anything. But after seeing posts like yours, I felt it was worth sharing my experience.
Best of luck, mate.

that sucks, i played a lot vs u and i also got this investigation, probably at the same time as u, and i saw other players at the time who also got that, at the time they said my account was not guilty of anything, but now im scared, so many people having these problems, and by the ammount i played vs u, i know that at least you are not a bot, so idk wtf GG banned you for.
i can only say the same, i was also a "winning" player, but its just obvious that at this point gg poker is a bunch of scammers and just discriminating against certain players.
to me happened something similar, first they asked me for location and then a couple of months i got account locked also for a case they just made up.
and already before that was strange things happening. like pvi dropping from one day to another by a huge margin without any logic behind it. its pretty obv that if u are not losing enough to
them they will just create a case out of thin air to just ban u. pretty sad for online poker in reality given the fact that this is the biggest site.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm really sorry to hear that you and your friend went through something so similar.
What strikes me most is how consistent the pattern seems to be. Many of us received generic responses, had our accounts investigated, and were permanently banned without being given any specific explanation or meaningful opportunity to defend ourselves.
Like you, I fully support GGPoker taking strong action against players who actually use RTA. The issue isn't enforcement—it's the lack of transparency and the possibility of false positives. If honest players are being caught in the process, the community deserves answers.
The fact that more people are now coming forward with almost identical stories suggests this isn't just an isolated incident anymore. Hopefully, by speaking up together, we can encourage a constructive discussion and push for a fairer and more transparent review process.
Wishing you the best as well, and thanks again for adding your voice to this discussion.
