I did too, I was rooting for him to make the final table, would have made it fun to watch, seems like a cool dude

Doesn't seem like the kind of guy you'd trust with getting rid of the getaway van though.

You're right. We need a stream. The poker GOAT is playing short-handed for a bracelet.

What the **** is wrong with Givens
(Did) He provide some comedy throught the coverage

All I got out of Will Givens' act was obnoxiousness.
Maybe some other people got comedy or amusement out of him, I didn't.

When i said "comedy " I meant laughing at him. He was calm and took that heat like a pro but his bustout interview was just bizarre. He seems to think very highly of himself, so I didnt know if he provided some unintentional comedy.

I've never had a pokergo subscription, and I have barely caught any highlights of the espn show. However, I remember there being a whole lot of bitching about PokerGo over the years and it's pretty interesting that now it's a bunch of people clamoring for it back.

pokergo showed more events, people were more mad a bunch of it was behind a paywall but everyone wants everything for free and everything also needs to be perfect or people get mad on the internet.

this year was less overall coverage (though gg did show events free but not much action out of the 50k ppc which rustled some people) and main event coverage ended up completely behind a paywall if you were in the usa.

However, I remember there being a whole lot of bitching about PokerGo over the years and it's pretty interesting that now it's a bunch of people clamoring for it back.

Myself and others were bitching about PokerGo because the coverage we had *before* PokerGO was vastly superior. It might not have been as professionally polished, but there were often multiple live streams every night. Nothing fancy, just a overhead webcam showing the action and picking up the table talk. Sometimes with a commentator and sometimes with none. But we were able to watch virtually all of the big tournaments, especially the mixed games and the PPC, usually from day 1. The lack of overhead and infrastructure also meant they could easily pick up and move if there were a bunch of big names making a run on any given night.

When PokerGo took over coverage was vastly reduced. It wasn't because they were charging a fee either. Many of us were willing (or even eager!) to pay a fee if it meant expanded coverage. Instead we got to see less poker and far few mixed game in exchange for a more polished presentation, which nobody was asking for.

Now somehow the coverage has gotten even worse, with even fewer interesting events being shown. Whoever decided that showing 3 days of the women's event (which was being headlined by a man dressed as a woman) instead of the PPC should be fired and never work in the industry again.

It's a pity that the WSOP can't figure out how to stream all, or most, of the WSOP in a simple, basic way so that everyone who is interested can see the action. Again, many of us are happy to pay for this, even if it costs more than PokerGo did or more than ESPN+ is charging! Don't need "production value", don't need hole cards, don't need a fancy stage. Charge us more, just show the damn poker!

^ "PokerGo coverage (compared with prior free streams) was vastly reduced"

Would disagree with that, those early years only final tables were shown, and some didn't have hole cards. Past few years PokerGo gave us Days 3-5 of PPC all with hole cards. Amazing comprehensive coverage.

But yes this year completely agree, just show the poker. Budget could have been 10-20% with more views.

Hellmuth 2/4

Hard to root against Phily boy

Even though he's an egotistical unaware *******

Didn’t Deeb say Hellmuth would never win another bracelet?

I love it when he says "people are so far behind me that they think they are running ahead"

HU down 27M to 16M.

Doubled up straight versus 2 pair. Now up 2.5-1 HU.

hellmuth has the chip lead !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With a huge crowd gathered around the feature table, Martin Kabrhel had become Hellmuth's number one fan on the rail, offering constant words of encouragement while also acting as a human calculator by informing Hellmuth of Rabinowitz's exact chip count at the end of every hand.

isn't that against the rules!?

I'm not picky, I'd take a radio telecast.

No, it's readily accessible to anyone really

maybe only ph can turn two pair over flopped two pair HU and get nothing the rest of the hand out of it

A hand later, encouraged by Martin Kabrhel to "take a snack," Hellmuth finally tucked into the half-eaten Subway sandwich that had been sitting beside him for much of the heads-up match.

again this type of assistance from the rail gotta be against the rules!

I cant believe we are getting robbed of this. As much as we didnt like Cary Katz, you know damn well he would have had his crew ready to film this.

This is going on the same time as HU in the $25K HORSE and they are televising neither.

Robbi Jade Lew on the verge of winning her first bracket in the $1k super turbo.

It'd be nice if they had one person who can put up a quick stream with one camera no hole cards for a day like today. You're never going to have production on the last day the way this is currently setup however.

No bracelet. Hellmuth said "it feels like you are on a draw" and called a turn shove with A2o on 2894, 2-flush on flop and lost to 97o.
