I don't think calling folks "Uncle Tom's", "slaves" and 'tribal', etc.. is having the desired effect to make your point. Do you?

I'm calling it like I see it and feel like Uncle Tom is the most compact and descriptive analogy to describe Obama.

I'm not a politician who is going to sugar coat in order to appease other people's notions of political correctness.

I'm criticizing a sacred cow and getting straight at the epicenter of what ails the Democratic Party nationally.

nut nut: these straw men burn great!

dude is getting whiplash from sidestepping so quickly down the field.

I thought you were the one who wanted Elon Musk to lead your New World Order? Maybe I'm thinking of someone else who favored that?

by Nut Nut

I don't know enough about him. If I had to choose someone, I would probably choose Johan Rockstrom as the king with the final say. I'd like Bill Gates to be the CEO and Jon Stewart to be the press secretary. Rockstrom has the skillset to understand how the planet as a whole needs to be sustainably managed. Gates has both the experience running a giant successful company and the

Gates, Bezo and Musk!!

What if you tried to pivot away from comedy and addressed the substance of whether Obama is an asset or a liability to the human race?

I've tried that and it didn't work. I believe the last time I asked a question you responded with what type of toilet you prefer. You answer my questions, I answer yours. Again, you're not in charge of anyone here. Not even Uncle Tom.

You don’t get to unilaterally decide that a racially charged label from another community has become a neutral political descriptor.

Other people are equally free to judge that choice.

Definitely not me.

I'm open to him holding a position in a future government. He's got some drive and intelligence. But he's ruined Twitter, probably intentionally. He needs a leash.

I get to unilaterally decide that I find it most descriptive.

I don't see people offering alternative descriptors for Obama.

The common synonym in the black community is **** (raccoon) but it doesn't pass the profanity filter.

The anti-Nut Nut sentiment here is quite well expressed.

The pro-Obama, pro-Dem establishment, pro-neoliberal sentiment ..... it's crickets.

C'mon folks .... defend your team !!! Break out the pompoms !!

Besides ****, I have heard "Stepin Fetchit", from a racist caricature on the Amos n Andy show.

Is it clocking to you yet.

I have a few that don't involve ethnic stereotypes or slurs:

Corporate Shill

Wall Street's Best Friend

Sellout

How am I doing so far?

Lol, did you even think about why this is the case?

You’re tilting at windmills, Albert.

All accurate, but none of those convey his political influence in the black community to the detriment of that community's interests. So while accurate, they are far less descriptive than Uncle Tom.

What do you think Wall St is buying from him for $1,000,000 an hour ?

False dichotomy.

Progressives are a group vying for my (and the country’s) political support. I think progressives make the mistake of assuming they have far more support than they do.

They have also taken primary losses and instead of attributing any blame to their own poorly-run campaigns always want to shift the blame to Obama and Clinton and the DNC and anyone else.

When is the last time a progressive said they lost because they ran a bad campaign? Or they lost because they ran a decent campaign but someone else ran a better campaign?

It becomes tiresome to deal with the attitude of blaming everyone else but yourselves.

by whatthejish

ELI5 it for me.

Why is it the case that no one is defending Obama, the Dem Establishment or neoliberalism?

You think Joe Biden ran a good campaign in 2020?

4th in Iowa, 5th in NH.

I voted for Obama 2x.

I'm not skirting my responsibility.

Tu quoque fallacy. Why not just answer the question? When is the last time a progressive lost because they ran a worse campaign than their opponent?

No one is defending them because no one is defending them.

No one is defending them because no one is defending them. Jfc, you’re almost worse than Victor.

The question is why no one is defending them.

What's the root cause ?

by checkraisdraw

The quality of the campaign is irrelevant when the system is rigged.

Putin doesn't have to campaign. Neither did Biden.

When you have a corrupt mafia which controls the sheeple vote in an influential primary state like S. Carolina, you don't have to campaign. It's an impenetrable object.

The “question” changes literally every time you post. You’re lost in a maze of straw men and mad that no one wants to play with you.

You’re all hot and bothered, desperately trying to eke out a win. Go finish your book, try focusing on one thing for more than five minutes.

We live in America, a country where everything can be monetized.

When you have people like Obama, Clyburn and John Lewis willing to monetize their leadership in the black community, what checks and balances exist?

They spread out the goodies to the local church leaders and you wind up with a well-coordinated mafia.

MLK Jr would be apoplectic at this. But true believers like him and Malcolm X get the bullet.
