2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Does this make sense. Slow Puppy pick 12.
I have Jeanty and Barkley with my first two picks. I’m gonna take Josh Allen who is past ADP in round three. I’m taking WR for sure with my next pick. I don’t like Ladd. I love Tet but I hate the low yardage Bryce seems to throw for. I also like G Wilson. At first I thought I can’t take Nabers as my number one or can I. He’s gonna be back and when he is he could be a top 5 dude. In these big contests I think going big is the way to go. There seems to be plenty of WR’s I can grab in the next few rounds to hold down the fort.
I don’t plan on drafting a lot of Josh Allen. I figure this is a good spot. He’s past ADP. I can often stack him with DJ Moore. I don’t have other potential QB stacks in the pipeline since I went RB/RB. Also, I don’t have to worry about reaching for QB because I’m on the end.
Stacks on stacks on stacks. Looks good, though I haven't really done the JJ/Addison double. Maybe I should add a few. That team could be overkill with Hock. Meanwhile, DK doubling down lol. The post was very misleading, especially since the post said enter "today" to receive another promo. They also verbatim said anotha one, as if the promo wasn't already available.
I think getting Hock as his number 3 is pretty solid. It’s good to have a couple vets to cushion a possible slow start by Sadiq
Why do you think Hock is over kill? Are you predicting low volume? Kyler is too short to see him?

Pick 36 for Josh is fine. It's probably the line where I'm cool taking him, but I like him more when he falls into the early 40s. Though if you want to guarantee some shares, 36 is fine.
Nabers is fine as long as you build the WRs around him well. You probably don't want to take too many rookies with him. It does feel better when he's your 2nd or 3rd WR taken rather than the 1st, but you can still make it work. You can also lean into Josh and the RB/RB start to open up at least one more WR spot plus take higher ADP WRs to help support Nabers. Might even be able to find a 2-5-9-2 type of a build. Or at least 2-5-8-3, depending on how TE goes.

Yeah, Hock 11 past ADP is fine at 178. Really not much difference between 167 and 178, though. A lot of bad picks in that range anyways. I just think it's going to be really tough for Kyler to payoff JJ and Addison + provide enough useable weeks for Hock. It's not that I hate Hock or his price, I just don't know how good it is in a triple with Kyler when it's JJ/Addison. But it's probably fine occassionally in case the offense does blow up.
I do like that he opted for Sadiq for upside + w17 over taking Hock at 159.
I went Sadiq over Juwan Johnson too for similar concerns. There’s definitely some risk to overstacking there, but I don’t fully know how to measure it, so just took Hock, but it’s a valid concern
Yeah, it’s really tough to measure and can still see paths to it all paying off, especially in the playoff weeks. I’d like it less as a 2 TE team. With Andrews and Sadiq, that takes pressure off of Hock to hit the lineup consistently.
I definitely think passing on Juwan was correct given 3 Saints in the first 6 rounds.
Was Helm still there at 178? Could take him, then a different receiver instead of Ridley.
I try not to multi-stack within the top 100 very often in 1QB, and if I do, I usually try to limit it to that. Especially with someone like Kyler who has a rushing element we are hoping for too.
Now in SF, I will stack everything lol. But that’s mainly because QB is your highest invested draft capital and they need pass catchers to pay off to actually be good picks.
