The timeclocks have definitely sped it up, particularly when they're not full tables which they are now. Good chance there's not a night session tomorrow or it's very short.

I wish they’d stop now with 27 left with this quicker pace. Kinda silly to play down to like15 only to have a super short day 8

Yes and not only has the old epic day of 27 down to 9 been taken away from us but they are back to having the final table over 3 days. That will also completely suck (as it did when they tried it before).

Wow mueller checks turn there, seems bad and then folds A4dd in HJ when folded to him. Odd behavior for him, he is usually fearless. I get it's the main event but surprising from him

This bro trying to outplay too much with that K5cc call of checkraise.

It’s different for women obviously. That’s why Litsou finishing 17th and making the furthest run for a woman in many years a few years ago was largely ignored as a story.

I’ll take one fir the racist sexist owm team: The first female ME champ will be Asian and make the (stereo)typical LPGA player (i.e. NOT Lydia Ko) look & sound like Lucy Liu or whatshername from Sideways.

Speaking of which, it would’ve been wonderful if Dee Luong had finished 2nd in ‘97 on the heels of her then boyfriend winning the year before, after a three hour hu battle with Stuey while wearing an outfit appropriate to the hot outdoors weather.

Yeah that was a bad decision since the last three final tables have been very quick compared to previous years. I guess ESPN wants only 1-3 hour nights.

I also miss the 27 down to 9 day 7. Was always the best day of the poker year entertainment wise

If you youtube viewers missed the back and forth between Deeb and Givens, go find it somewhere. 2p2 came up, Bonomo, Ike, a bunch of other names and insinuations. It got pretty heated there for a bit.

And the battle over who has the best masseuse was hilarious.

"Mine will make you cry"

"Oh dude, you have no idea, mine is so good."

"I guarantee 1.5 hours with mine and you'll realize she's the best."

"I do 2 hours with mine."

etc. etc. etc.

It reminded me of Dirk Diggler and Reed Rothschild talking about how much they benched and squatted.

Also, imagine the different experience of the two masseuses pushing Givens' and Deeb's flesh around. It could be that one is better at bulked up guys and the other is better at pudgy doughballs.

nice call AJ

Hey guys, I didn't want to clutter the thread with a bunch of hands from the tournament, but if you are curious about the whole story of how my run went I decided to make a long post in my blog summarizing the whole event with a bunch of hands I played along with some general thought processes:

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/174/p...

It is a bit of a novel, but if any of you are interested there it is.

Kyosuke Nagami goes out in 23rd place this year, 170th last year, and 21st in 2024. Absolutely insane. I was lowkey rooting for him to win because it would be a pretty sick story.

You’re awesome Kyle!

zhao liu was 161 last year, had 50M lost about 10 with AK

Ahh and here is the late implosion I figured someone would have. Liu torches it

Is Givens boyz with Hawkins or something—allegedly ldo.

Trayner was back down to middle of the pack 3-4 hours ago, whi pumped him up?

by wheatrich

zhao liu was 161 last year, had 50M then got hero called, and made a wrong hero call in the last what 30 minutes and lost a bunch of it. Rough. and tilted the rest of it he looked shell shocked when he busted

And everyone lol’d Wosnacki for nitting up last year.

Q9o, almost a computer hand.

Where is an easy place to watch the coverage? ESPN+ means what? I need hulu or disney plus?

winamax youtube is absolutely fine. if you don't speak French it's still quite inoffensive to keep the sound on IMO. espn+ not working for me & it's off youtube for me at least

50 mil in the last hour of play. We could start an argument about whether or not the big chipleader should put in 20% of his stack in a 3way allin with AK.

OK, let’s start that argument. 25 left, 125/250/250, you have 52.525M.

UTG raises to 1.125, MP jams for 4.225, BU jams for 9.925.

You have AcKh in the SB, UTG has 13.5* left…?

*Poker News said UTG raised to 1.125 then folded to the jams, but the post hand chip counts say he lost 3.375.

I mean. Mizrachi called a 5 bet jam for 100% of his chips with AK at the ME FT from a middle aged man who was all+ when 7 handed and I think 3rd in chips

That is the hand you want to talk about whether he should call or fold with AK there? Easy call. He had a litany of other potential mistakes that were his issue, not that hand.

WSOP wants to give you 20s to think about it Bully

This hand was really bad for example

Liu had A6 with the 6 of diamonds and called the flop bet. This is a clear flop fold, not a flop peel. Jumalon was getting out there and getting at it for sure and maybe I can see a flop peel there with the Ad, but this is an easy check fold on the flop for a million reasons.
