If the Bulls don't draft Pippen, how does Jordan's career look? Just curious, don't know who a reasonable alternative pick in that draft might've been.
Looking at this question more are you saying Jordan was only good because he got lucky to draft Pippen? So Michael Jordan wasn't good at basketball and Pippen just made Jordan look good?

Probably would have been fine. The next six picks after Pippen were Kenny Smith, Kevin Johnson, Olden Polynice, Derrick McKey, Horace Grant, Reggie Miller, and Muggsy Bogues. Only Reggie Miller and Kevin Johnson were truly stars among that group, but all those guys had long, productive NBA careers. Polynice was the worst of the bunch, but even he started 658 games and played 15 seasons in the league. It was a good draft.
If they couldn't look good around Jordan when would they have looked good? No disrespect to those players but they might just have been not good enough?

Pippen is a huge part of why Jordan might be the GOAT. But Jordan's nuthuggers have to make it their MO to diminish Pippen at all costs.

Lebron was given everything he wants his whole career and only has 4 titles? Jordan and any other competent goat nominee woulda had at least double that. Jordan already had 6 but he'd have 12 then. Jordan was good at basketball.
Jordan's job title wasn't to turn scrubs into superstars. If they weren't good enough then they didn't make it. But he won with what he had. As opposed to the great Lebron James that demands to have superstars play for him otherwise he won't go to their team.

Jordan won with exactly one team, constructed exactly one way, in exactly one short era of NBA history. With 2 years of missed time and a 2nd round choke in between. Never sniffed the playoffs after age 35. Still might be GOAT, but enough with the silly Pippen hate. He's well regarded as among the best players of the 90's. A member of the dream team too, and among the many players who played way better on that team than Jordan. Jordan's low percentage chucking stats on that team are hilarious.
I feel the exact opposite. Pippen should thank whoever he prays to every night for being given the opportunity to share a locker room with #23. Without MJ, Pippen is JAG. Pippen was excellent defensively and below average offensively. The best comp to me is a slightly better Eddie Jones. A good player, maybe a couple of AS games. DEFINITELY no HOF. No MVP votes. No chips unless he had a great surrounding cast. Pippen was a good, not great player who luck boxed his way into a great situation. Quite possibly the most overrated player in NBA history (after LeFraud of course).

Then they lost in the playoffs was it the 1st round i don't remember. I remember the one game where they won because Jackson wouldn't let Pippen take the last shot. He gave the last shot to Kukoc. Pippen was mad and refused to go on the court. But Kukoc made the shot. Im not a Scottie hater but i tell the truth and don't live in delusionland.

If Michael Jordan was drafted to the original Lebron James Cavs without Lebron Jordan would have made them a dynasty. No decisions would be made to go to Miami.
