2026 World Series of Poker May 26th - July 15th
You mean the majority of rec players in most card rooms in the USA? I think this idea that everyone needs to be attractive to get attention is overrated
Can't completely disagree with you, but I think it does help the broadcast overall if their are some players who take good care of themselves/pride in how they look.
don't fall for it tropp

thank you Captain Serious. But yeah you're right...just look at TV, movies, magazines etc for all those unattractive people that the public heaps attention on
some nice street poker from Givens & Ensan seemed to be fully aware as well. Great call from him on the flop.
He really has the ideal way too, slowly no real risk. That's also why he folded the AQo against deeb forever ago now, figured it was a flip and it was half his stack and he was just like why risk losing and having to maybe win an allin when I can just grind it up with little risk.
It’s almost like Perry could’ve started doing this last night when he had a gigantic stack. Obviously we don’t know much about the HH after that.
Somebody should maybe though write a book about donkaments with a chapter emphasizing small edges are rarely worth pushing with a big stack and large pay jumps.
The pulled hoodie over mouth to avoid giving tells thing is pretty unique to this event. You always see it deep in the WSOP main but not in anything else. Not even EPT's etc (granted its been several years since I watched a live EPT stream).
For some reason this doesn’t feel as dramatic as previous years yet. Maybe it’s the different production set
winamax going on mute....not for the French guys but for the American guy who won't stfu

I see it in small town 1-3 & $125 weeklies all the time lol.
We don't have the darvin moon types I think is why. It's mostly varying degrees of crushers.
Also I think the shot clock reduces drama somewhat. The long tanks add that main event tension. Not the unneeded wasting time ones but the ones for real tournament (and possibly life altering) decisions.

Lack of what I call the WSOP Main music, slightly lower production values and no table talk is definitely all working together to reduce the drama.
She's hot AND she can play poker. idk how much chance your average NVG dweller like me has but one can dream.
I kind of expected someone to say this when I posted. Fair enough but I honestly never have - and I have played in tournaments where they are so desperate to win they have literally chopped with multiple tables left.
How many are we playing down to tonight?
dunno about that ten eight, you're usually fine but doubling up one of the best players left who is on fumes not the smartest thing to do
The last attractive single female in a poker room was Cyndy Violette 45 years ago, if you don’t count golddigger cocktail waitresses.
Someone in Tony Soprano’s Bracelet Hunting thread claimed to have taken a Mirage dealer to dinner once. I went to lunch with a Commerce chip runner in ‘95. Sucker born every minute.
I wish they’d stop now with 27 left with this quicker pace. Kinda silly to play down to like15 only to have a super short day 8
The runout that gives you hope, then crushes it completely.
