Todd Brunson or Daniel Hachem taking this down would both be pretty crazy stories. First relative of a former ME champ to also win the ME.

World Series of Commercials here on ESPN+

Brunson’s building

Nice run Godson

About 85 left. Median stack is about 50BB.

Chip leader (Perry) has 188 BB

Ordet & Comeskey out 104th & 105th.

Who remembered Perry finished 3rd in 2002 because I sure didn’t.

How much more Sean Perry we gonna see if daddy does well

I cannot fathom what sharna is doing in some of these hands. Also amazed how the AT vs 44 on AT4 flop did not play a massive oot

Hachem is a velly good player. Both Aussies left tbh are vg - Traynor is a boss

That main event was the first poker show I watched. Wanted to play like Julian Gardner, who didn't stick around too many more years so hopefully he still had enough of that money when he went to do something else.

GG TheGodson. Thanks for including us!

Was Kessler even like a “known” player back then?

I'm gonna say he was at least fairly well known, because I saw him at Foxwoods during one of the WPTs, I don't know exactly what year, but it would have been mid 2000s, and I did recognize him, I was aware of him for some reason.

I don't think he'd get in now. There's quite a few in there like that.

I don't see why. He's in for his cash game play and I don't think anybody's assessment has changed in that regard. Same reason Harman is in.. Oppenheim.. Antonius..

Looks like sharma is the first mega punt usually there is a later implosion as well.

That was the time period they rushed to get their friends in, they can't do that as much anymore.

sharma definitely punted today, he had a good stack earlier and he just bled it off but he wanted big stack or go home so he got it.

world series of hero folding strikes again QQ was good.

I don't think he had enough chips to fold but how the heck is he good against that line but he was.

What in world is that fold from Miller

That has to be the worst fold in the history of the main event

Fine run TheGodson. You really can play poker, the mental game with yourself is amazing. The charts can be in the back of the mind, they'll give nice hints. The AK/AA thing is the reason most often the journey ends long before the final table, unavoidable if not wanting to be blinded out.

problem QQ has, is that line from a lot of people is AA/KK. He just doesn't have 10BB left and in the main sometimes they don't have what it looks like they're supposed to.

I think he has to stick it in too and just hope to spike if it's no good. Too unlikely to spin it up if you just fold now is the biggest problem.

Everybody 4 bet shoving on todd brunson while he's holding aces or kings. Must be nice.

And if you're that terrified of AA/KK, then fold to the 4bet. Paying to see the flop and folding when it comes perfect is the worst of all worlds.

If Miller can't put 2 other hands in Weiss' range post-flop besides AA-KK then GG.
