**** TJ's 2026 WSOP Trip! ...And Continued Sundry Poker Adventures ****
Hello again, friends!
I’ll start this thread by channeling my inner karaoke DJ, and invoking the timeless lyrics from the
CuseRounder busted Day 4 in the money for slightly better than a mincash! His third Main Event cash, which is an INCREDIBLE poker accomplishment.
And brianr bagged 990k for Day 5!
Let’s goooooooo!!
GL Brian!
LFG brianr!
2p2's own TheGodson is 4th in chips and chiming in on the NVG thread.

Brianr on 1.7M at break on Day 5, with 292 players left!!
Our boy just knocked out former Main Event champion Ryan Riess!
On 2.3M, currently 79/274, if PokerNews chip counts are to be believed!
Made day 6! 2.875. This is ****ing nuts
77/174, which is starting in GREAT shape to make a big move on Day 6!
Echo what feely said, get some rest. Like I said in another thread, making sure you’re getting good rest between days I think is the most important, and underrated thing about managing yourself between days.
Don’t get too high, don’t get too low. Swings will happen.
Channel all the excitement and energy into focus, and observation, and make the best decisions you can, with the information you have.
Gogogogogo!
I told a patient this morning that I have a buddy doing well in the Main Event, that he’s coming back to day 6 with $57k already locked up.
The patient said “$57,000?!? I’d be like, cash me out now, that is enough!”
Lol
Way to go brianr!
Let’s go brianr!!!! Take your time today. This is likely where the exhaustion sets in for many. Think it through, make the move, no regrets.
Out. 102
Absolutely FANTASTIC run!!
Congrats on a great run and an amazing result. It's not much of a stretch to say that every tournament player wants to be in a spot like that eventually. This is "the" tournament and not too many people will ever know what it's like to run so deep. Enjoy the accomplishment and the payday.
If and when you're ready, I'd love to hear some of your thoughts on the experience (general level of play, emotions, atmosphere, any notable spots or decisions).
Nice run!
great run brianr!!
Thanks for giving us an exciting sweat, brianr
Awesome run brian and I echo dogface’s comment that when you’ve had time to rest and the achievement has sunk in I’m sure we’d all like to hear about it from the horse’s mouth.
Thanks guys! When I made day six I was running on absolute fumes and I think it caught up to me when combined with the insane feeling of getting moved to the feature table in the middle of the day. I was moved to the main tv table with about a half hour to go in level 26, sitting on 3 million. I didn’t consciously feel out of place, but holy ****ing **** I’m sitting two seats to Shaun Deeb’s left on the main ESPN table on day six of the main event. My first main event, the one where I won a satellite at Foxwoods with just 1.8 big blinds when a guy two to my right busted on the bb with exactly 2 bigs going into that hand.
A few hands in I am on the big blind and decent with something like 97o. I think there was a mid position opener and deeb called. Flop came all middle cards maybe T96 and it checked around. Turn maybe paired the board? I led out for 60% pot and took it down.
Second hand made the stream I 3b Ensan w T9s and he folded.
Then for some reason Deeb made a big deal about me wearing a whoop. Kind of frazzled I just took it off but then confirmed at the break I was okay to wear it. It did lead me to post this meme on the wsop stories page which pretty much sums up my main event:
Will follow up with second post on my break and the two hands I played when I got back. Overall was just sad to see it end. It was the most fun thing in the world to run that deep!
Congratulations, brian! Well done!
What is a whoop?
