This is the deal with sandwiches.

It's a snowmobile.

But I'll bet it's a very delicious snowmobile.

Pork chops, sweet potato hummus, spicy pineapple/red onion/mint salsa

I wish. Last leftover locally made hamburger bun 😔

second best thing
looks great either way

In Manhattan. Did a couple of pastrami sandwiches. I haven’t been to Kat’z in years but as Yogi would say, “Nobody Goes There Anymore, It’s Too Crowded”. Also the timing being downtown on the eastside for lunch never worked out.

Hit up sarge’s first pics and Pastrami Queen. Both are very different style. Sarge’s maybe more seasoned, Pastrami Queen tastes more fresh I guess. Bread and environment was better at Sarge’s. Pastrami Queen too small and close to upper east side snobby we’re better than you trash.

More NYC “sandwiches”.

Bagels and nova. Went to Zabar’s which is a kinda nice high English grocery store that smokes and slices it own fish, has a bakery which does bagels, roast there own coffee, good stuff. Also found a good bagel shop in Midtown. Wish I could’ve found a place with sable or Sturgeon that I could buy on a bagel. Russ and Daughters, Barney Greengras seem like a mess as well to get on and out.

Also bonus liverwurst at Mcsorley’s.

What condiment did you get with the liverwurst?

My dad used to keep that on hand when us kids were growing up because he knew we wouldn't eat it. Until I was about 14 and tried it with onions and mustard. His stash was no longer safe.

I'd love to find some fresh made somewhere. Looks yummy.

All look great especially the lox bagels which are very close to the ultimate breakfast food.

I still don't get his new york delis love throwing off the sandwich balance by putting double the meat a sandwich needs as an absolute minimum.

Some crazy strong horseradish mustard.

I do sometimes see subs that I feel maybe have too much meat but deli pastrami sandwiches work.
