Doing very well for an old man thanks. I gather you are not playing much live these days and neither am I - the games worth playing at the local casino and the private games I knew have basically died due to lack of donators, and I can't get interested in driving to play 1-3 size games.

Playing some low stakes online occasionally, but doing a lot more exercise, desert walking (not this month of course) , chi gong, some strength work as well. How about you - doing any thing to replace poker? Of course I know you have work and family stuff that takes up a lot of time and energy.

When the whole Tommy Goldstein drama broke I recalled him being the feature attraction in the private games I played in VA and MD. Did you ever get the chance to play in the same games with him?

Very nice- those are great hobbies. I don’t miss the Arizona heat but I loved being able to hike / run on the mountains near cave creek.

Mostly family and work but I’ve picked rock climbing back up after a 3-3.5 year hiatus. Im trying not to get frustrated by how much worse I am than when I was climbing 3-4x per week and taking really good care of myself. Im also trying to keep run more frequently. It’s really hard to force myself to run at significantly slower paces to avoid injury when all I can think about is - well 20 years ago I used to run X minutes faster per mile.

I never played with him. A bunch of my friends / fellow pros did though. He played in some of the same games that I do / did but since my schedule has always been so random we never crossed paths.

uh oh...That was my stomping grounds in the late 90s - 2010. I lived in Centreville, played in Oxen Hill, Silver Spring, McLean, Reston, Fairfax. Any chance we ran into each other?

@garick LOL - I think it means playing max exploit pokerz; when U R dialed in and have a bigly understanding of how yer opponent thinks about and approaches the game U can apply max pressure and tell him a story that he believes (and makes sense to him) and get him to bend to your will.
