Showing cards when all in (and before decided how many times to run it) do you show?
Bug bearer of mine is people not showing cards . I often shout "cards over!" as you would in a tournament but not eve

Appreciate it if everyone can back slowly away from any continued discussion about religion, thanks.
Apologies. Even though it was sly and thinly veiled, I thought that the intent of jjjou812's original comment was pretty clear and given it went unchecked for over 3 days, I had incorrectly assumed that this was option for discussion.
I know better now.
My point is that some of the black and white 'Education' in this post is ridiculous imo. I Believe that Math is a PART of the game but there are many, many other factors which come into play and can do so at any given point. I Also believe that it is folly to rely simply on the Math for making all your decisions, just because the statistics will 'Likely' play out if we ever approach infinity. I believe that it is folly because the game is one of incomplete information which we have talked about in length some time ago. I also believe that developing good Poker instincts should be a big part of any good player's strategy, because it is often invaluable and gives you options for winning when the Math cannot.

what poker instincts will help you when determining whether to run it twice?
I don't know what to tell you man, someone generously invited you to finally and clearly state your point, and you are wasting the opportunity by rambling incoherently. As it has been explained to you time and again, the math that we are talking about accounts for the incomplete information.
So to cite incomplete information as a reason for why it is folly to rely on the math makes it look like you simply do not believe in the math. In fact, you cannot believe in the math if you believe that incomplete information is the reason for the folly. Those are incompatible.

Fair enough. Honestly, you don't need to tell me anything, especially not to placate me. This thread hasn't changed the belief system of anyone involved and that's fine with me.
LOL. I never said the Math does not matter, take a breath. That was my point and you could not quote me on it could you? ….
Of course I bloody well understand the Math 😃 but was (a) Looking for a Math head to admit that in certain circumstances Math is useless but more importantly (b) An academic to give me some high level topic that I can read up on.
I did say I am working on my troll like characteristics.
uth.
From your earlier post it reads to me that you were looking for someone to confirm your belief that the math is worthless inthis instance.

OK, so what is your point about running it multiple times? What information do you think helps you make more optimal decisions about the EV of specifically winning or losing the most amount of money in any given hand?

Instead of trying to get me to answer a framed question about EV, take a look through the last few pages and all will be revealed.
And the answer is that he enters a thread about whether seeing the other cards is material to a decision to RIT and won’t explain his deeply held belief that the math is useless in this instance. He doesn’t like the “framed question” because he knows he has no explanation that passes the giggle test.

Except it isn't, you've not been at all clear, and I've asked you to clarify twice and you haven't.
So, directly, do you think that knowing what the cards are effects how much money you will win, on average, depending on how many times you run it?

'Giggle Test'. Coming from someone who makes sly and underhand comments in order to increase the weight of their debating skills, then does not have the fortitude to admit to them upon public exposure, I will take that as a huge compliment.
You have Carpel Tunnel? I have more than an inkling with regards to the cause and it's not overuse of your mouse.

I'm confused. Do you mean how they affect the outcome of their effect?
mod: last warning. If the personal attacking and passive aggressive bullshit doesn't stop, I'm taking a flamethrower to this thread and handing out bans. I hate having to do it in one of the recent threads that has created some excitement here, but that doesn't mean it's open season on the forum rules.

Questions on your QQ vs KK hand:
1) Why do you think that you were more likely to win the second runout than the first runout?
2) Would you have accepted 20% of the pot back rather than running any boards at all? Why or why not?
3) What makes running it twice in this situation better than running it 4 or 5 times in your opinion?
4) Why didn't you use your vaunted intution and feels to not snapcall it off as a 4:1 dog?
