The only way to break the Republican hold (effectively people like Obama, Clintons, Pelosi, Schumer, Biden, etc) on the Democratic Party is to have them lose repeatedly and have a new generation come in and replace them.
Electing someone like Buttigieg or Newsom is just going to be a repeat of neoliberal Obama policy and a continuation of wealth concentration.
